Does anybody know if the Jegs X pipe resonator eliminator will fit a 2015 SS? I found it on Amazon, but it says 2010-2012. Not sure if the exhaust setup is the same or not for a 2015.

The previous owner had put on a Corsa exhaust on my L99 SS. It sounded pretty good after I had the guys at work tune out the AFM. It's fairly tame at idle but opens up nicely over 2k. It didn't really sound how I wanted it to until I installed long tubes and off-road connections though. Now she growls all the time.

+1.
Had them on my L99 for over 5 years now. The best for sound and no drone.

I believe it will. I think the changes are all cosmetic and do not affect exhaust routing. But I may be wrong on that...

It might be cheaper to have a muffler shop fab one. Mine was around $100 done and no more resonator.

I run the ATAK cat back system. Has a sweet rumble and can be aggressive if you punch it a bit. I have it on a L99 also.

Cool, thanks for the response. I'll check it out a little more and maybe just go to the local muffler shop and talk with them.

I got it on my 2014 and it fit fine. It comes with clamps, but I had my shop weld it in anyway. Get an estimate from your shop first, though, as mine cost more than I expected to install (both in terms of time & money...).

Another vote from me for Solo w/ J pipes. I loved the sound but wanted a little more oomph, and went with the X-pipe resonator delete. Now I have a nice, audible idle from inside the car, minimal sound when cruising, and when you get on it, it sounds like all hell is breaking loose.

If you go the custom route, check the local clubs and see who they use or recommend. Some shops charge a lot for a little work, others are a great deal.

Definitely check around.

Thanks, I haven't found any info on any clubs around my area in Charleston, WV, really be cool if there was one close. I have a local muffler shop that has done a lot of work for me in the past at really cheap rates. Going to go talk to them tomorrow and see what they say. I'm pretty new to all of the Camaro mods, just got my SS back in August. Had a LS before that, but didn't have the ideas in my mind until now on all the things i want to do. I'm definitely addicted now.

for the money I think you can't beat the Stainless Works 3 inch retro chambered catback system, gives you room to grow, a low deep rumble, a built in X pipe, and substantial weight reduction all in one package. the system can be had for under 9 hundred if you call around. the AFM is a bit subjective, I didn't really notice the sound as much as the feel of the transmission when it was switching in and out of 4 cylinders. annoying as heck! ran the range device for a year til I when to Long Tubes and tuning out the AFM.

I'm up north off of NW Barry Rd.
This is a viable alternative to our MagnaFlow Street Series cat-back, actually, provided the exhaust shop can mandrel-bend the tubing to get smooth flow without kinking any of the pipes. A reputable shop that you're recommending can probably do this. The real advantage to the cat-back is that you can install it yourself in your driveway with basic tools.

That said, if you're worried about drone, you can replace have MagnaFlow mufflers put on in the back and use a Tru-X muffler in place of the stock resonator. The Tru-X is often called a "resonated X-pipe" and it's pretty much exactly what it sounds like: an X-pipe inside of a muffler. You get the same exhaust scavenging advantages with a bit more sound absorption, which translates to lower chances of having drone. The 11386 Tru-X muffler is pretty popular with the Camaro crowd and will fit nicely. You still get a deep, smooth tone that will be louder than stock, but it won't be ear-bleeding.

I'd run Borla ATak Axleback, had it on my 2012 and it had a nice rumble without drone. On an L99 you have to go full catback to get the best sound out of it, the AFM Resonators hold the exhaust tone down a bit.
