Yeh, a blue and white car with some kind of light things on top, must have wanted to talk to me. But since I left him in the dust, I don't even know what he wanted

A lot of the time they just want to see your car run. I don't see the problem with humoring them.

I "raced" a modded C6 vette not long ago in a 2007 Toyota Solara while my car was in the shop. Not a real race, duh, but I got to see a badass Corvette take off.

This is particular to the Florida area in particular see the aggressiveness of the person is in relation to the amount of old farts on the road and in direct correlation to the small size of their pee-pee... As they see super cars they do not mess with in their cars which anyone can pick up dirt cheap they look for someone to bolster their ego since their car is so heavy and do not really want to engage as it results in embarrassment like their pee-pee. As just with most Dodge owners they may have at the most a cup holder mod, or a attends/depends dispenser, and this makes them angry being as most are the v-6 and slower than anything they love to attach confusing camouflage for stickers on it so you do not know it is not even a R/T.
Even worse is the sleepless nights they spend wishing they could afford 75K for a hellcat even though they know like all the other dodges it will just break down more often and they sold out to Fiat after Mercedes vomited them up like a bad fur ball.....

What will Dodge come up with next? Maybe they can reinvent something that cops like...say big cars with big back seats? Maybe commercials that go back to the heritage of the company before they became the lowest of the big three showing say the old Dodge brothers who sold them to Chrysler burning rubber? Who then borrowed repeatedly bailout money from the USA, only to sell out to foreigners repeatedly...... SO hey next time you see one of these "Dodges" give them the thumbs up and don't forget to say ; " Nice Fiat"!!! then rev your engine and blow their doors off up to the legal speed limit..... Wow I am ranting, like us old farts do.....lol

Dodges are everywhere for transportation purposes. Back in the day the heavy barges had huge engines in them kind of like they try to now only with CAFE standards around the corner...... they reinvent the dart, (looks nothing like a old dart), and they reinvented others that are not retro at all like all companies are guilty of and so they put a badge on a polished turd that's name used to mean something to us old timers.

Expect more of the same from Dodge? NO: they have to adapt or die and its time and as usual they are way overdue like a slow dinosaur, wearing a elephant block around its neck dragging its tail, and that's the only reason they made the Hellcat is because they are so behind the curve it has to get attention somewhere. And really rare is the Hellcat and try changing plugs in one without paper thin tools or pulling the engine....

And not so long ago vintage dodges were priced high on the collector market until people realized...MEH they are a Dodge after all and the reason they were so rare is the desirability back in the day was not so much..... Land Barges with oversized engines and mediocre interiors. Sure back in the day there were sweet Chevelles, Malibus, Mustangs, Camaros and well even AMC's, etc etc that had nicer interiors/lighter weight and able to show up the dodges back then draggin the "GUT".
Small cars even were capable of becoming drag cars like the Monza and Vega, Novas/Omegas/Venturas/Apollos were the pedestrian car along with a lot of other brands that no longer exist, due to big Government: Long live the names: Oldsmobile, Pontiac, even Saturn which was profitable but ditched due to liberals...

Old names mean more to some of us and at car shows, now its about profitability and keeping ahead of government regs. and Dodge has repeatedly shown they are slow to react... just ask Lee Iocohca
So yes its Florida combined with other things, and apparently its where you are, other than that its normal driving with idiots everywhere and the dodges are like a old fart in a Chrysler 300 trying to be cool with big rims and a Bentley grill.... Polishing a Turd and has to shove a massive engine in it or spend more to make it move and have a attitude that they belong a sports car..... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the thing is some people have bad eyes........And bad driving. Well that's this mornings rants...lol,

I live by the busiest road in my state a four lane road called Lancaster drive lined with businesses for consumers and on it go Big arse lifted trucks weaving in and out of traffic because their owners are jerks, just like the Ricers who seem think they can fit in any space and that makes them a MAN with a fart can that's a reason to be proud.... As for me I just try to avoid accidents and avoid them, but once in a while I have to embarrass one like blasting my exhaust or tapping on the throttle for a split second to make my point, but whatever the deal....I mostly avoid them and if they are looking for trouble they need to go away because I will protect my life at the cost of theirs.... As I do know how to drive and keep a safety cushion and do not tail gate nor appreciate anyone who is a jerk driver. Getting there faster legally is one thing when you can go 0-60 faster, its entirely another to whip through traffic like a douche bag on the way to deliver a turd back to the dealer......

Sure a challenger looks nice, handles well for what it is: just like back in the day the heaviest contender at a race to the finish may look more impressive with its presence because its so large, and it does not look so impressive when it looses. And if you have to have a engine that's twice the size to do the same performance wise as your competitors its time to think about a diet....... Oh gee has GM came out with a lighter faster Camaro? Does it out perform the Mustang? then I am sure it will eat the Dodges and spit them out and make them that much more angry as modding a Camaro is cheaper and easier than the Fords and Dodge/Fiats still and the reason Chevy engines are in more of them than they want to count.

Happens all the time, not only the Dodges, but fellow Camaro owners. Just the other day while dropping my granddaughter off, driving in the middle lane of a 3 lane each way road, went past an RS in the slow lane in heavy traffic. A few seconds later I notice in my mirrors he is weaving in & out of traffic, when he gets next to me, gives me a look & takes off through the traffic. I just shook my head, smiled & continued along in the middle lane; I'm to old to have to prove anything to every idiot that comes along, especially in heavy traffic. Ironically, 3-4 lights down he got pulled over

I've had performance cars all of my life, since the 1970's, and only recall once anyone acting like they wanted to race. That was a rice mobile, and why would I race it..? I was in a Vette at the time, I HAD ALREADY WON in both speed and life.

Maybe fools and children are trying to do that, even today, and maybe I just don't notice?

There aren't many cars on the road with over 426 hp. Most of those cars aren't DDs. So generally most knowledgeable drivers recognize that my car is very fast and probably faster than theirs. Therefore they don't even attempt to race me. In other words, there is no reason for me to show how fast my car is. You only have to look at it to know you ain't beating me.

Thanks, I thought it was only me. In 6 years and 40,000+ miles I've never
once had anyone challenge me to race. Even today lots of stares, thumbs
up and "nice car" comments but that's it and that's fine with me.

I would venture to guess that those being "challenged" have asked for it. It's kind of like when kids play in a sandbox. If you're tossing sand on the other kids, yeah you'll probably run across those who want to reciprocate.

Some of those ricers need to rev their cars at stop light just to keep them from dying.. They are not challenging you, their cars just wont run any other way...
