Well in fairness, some believe that the GT500 2010 is only capable of what M/T ran..which was like 12.7. many in the VS. forum held that up as its proof. I would say this is a bit relevant as it shows what a person who can drive behind the wheel can do in a stock GT500

well in fairness... not every Joe Schmoe who buys a gt500 is gonna be putting down 11's. the average joe isn't gonna step into a gt500 and pull off the 11's that a pro driver did, neither is the average joe in the camaro. if you just want to point out what the best of the best can do then put the best of the best in both cars.

also, i think motortrend did a hennessey vs. gt500 a month later and the times for the gt500 dropped by like half a second...you should lay off the magazine racing a bit man. magazines all have the same agenda, which is to sell their magazine...m/t was trying to create a controversial article with the gt500 vs. ss to sell their mag. apparently it worked since at least one mustang fan is still hung up on it

This is a Chevy Camaro vs ...... forum. This isn't a Mustang drag test video forum. Why not compare the GT500 against fair competition like a Super Charged Camaro.......????

Oh right... that's not a fair competition now is it? Keep posting threads with a Supercharged car vs N/A.

Try looking at the OP..I did not post this here, and I already have the magazine. I knew this already. Maybe you should go back to the other thread and look how many claimed that the M/T times were gospel. It was said there that magazine racing is just that, but many in this forum hung their hat on that as fact.

I also realize everyone is not going to run a 11. It depends on who is driving. But yet many here as well let that little factoid escape them when they felt they had something to gain by harping the M/T track times.

I run both of my Mustangs all the time and I understand what it takes to get the best out of your car. As fas as Magazine racing, go back to that old thread and address every single poster that took it as gospel.
