How do you stay on pump gas

I have a 2014 ZL1 with 618 RWHP I was able to achieve this with bolt-ons and a tune on 93 pump gas... I was thinking about having more work done, maybe a cam or heads but raising HP means detonation issues and concerns. Most people around here use either Methanol injection or E85 to handle the issues. But E85 is not readily available and you only get about 7 miles to the gallon and Methanol injection is great as long as you have no problem with the system. If for some reason the injection failed you are screwed ( boom ) .. How do you stay on pump gas and get more HP?

I know people running on 91 pump gas pushing close to 700rwhp without any issue. My methanol doesn't kick on until I am in the boost and it is just for cooling. It will definitely boost the octane but you can tune the car so it isn't dependent on it.

You aren't really at that point yet where you NEED to ditch 93 octane... If E85 isn't available then I suggest methanol.

I dropped the compression in mine to be more pump gas friendly.

If you choose your cam properly (valve events) you can reduce dynamic compression, give yourself more headroom on pump gas and make more power to boot.

Meth systems are quite easy to build in safety via adjusting the IAT/timing tables. If the system fails and IAT2 shoots up timing is pulled.

Is there any 100octane pumps or "race fuel" pumps out there? That's one option, Or you can always add some octane booster.. Torco being the most preferred

A well engineered ZL1 package will help you achieve much more power without detonation issues even on 91 pump gas.

Here is just one example of a Nickey Stage II ZL1 with 700 rwhp on 91 pump gas.

Sorry I forgot you had a ZL1, your compression is already dropped. I don't see why you couldn't make 750rwhp safely on pump gas.
