Door dinged and driver sped off what are my options

Like the title says, I was leaving lowes parked in the back of the lot as usual, I see a Toyota corolla parked next to my car engine running and I see this lady open her passenger door and it strikes my car (I was about one parking space away when I saw it) so I look at my car and see a chip and a dent in the body line. I knock on her window and she looks at me tells her fat friend to go and they take off I jump in mine to chase em down, ended up stopping to let pedestrians walk and found them again saw where they live I now have their license plate make and model and address. Called metro they said they can't do anything because it's technically not a hit and run, insurance company is not very helpful. What can I legally do or what are my options. My deductible is 250 but that's 250 that I can spend on a tune.

You can always try suing in small claims court for negligence. Hope you got pics.

Pretty bad deal man...

If it's a pushable dent, you can get it PDR'd, I push dents on these cars all the time, body lines always get it. To push a dent on the body lines of these cars, I usually charge $50-$100. If the dent can be removed, maybe one of those good touch up guys could fix the chip....

You will never collect a dollar from those liars, and they will lie about the incident so forget about it.

I'd probably go over there and kick a dent in their car, call it good.

During the night time which makes it even better, who knows what kind of art comes out of night. Call a PDR person near you and get it fixed, I say what goes around comes around.

Small claims court laws/rules vary from state to state. You have too check out
yours. Or, like everyone else seems to be suggesting:
Since you know where they live and the car, You can take out your own

PS OP, I have 2 door dings from fat F___ers like you're dealing with dinging my car as well. So I feel your pain.
