Decklid Spoiler Extension Option

I am looking to purchase one of two Z/28's, that are somewhat local to me. One of them has a Decklid Spoiler Extension, $450, (Dealer Installed) as a listed option.

Although having this option would not be a deal breaker, is this something I want, or is it not worthwhile? I am asking because it seems to further reduce rear visibility over the standard spoiler.

Thanks,
Ken

MotorTrend says the wickerbill "makes all the difference" (see articles below).

On the street you're probably not going to see a lot of difference (other than the reduced visibility that you mentioned), but it is, in fact, a performance part that makes a real difference on the track. I don't have one (yet) but would like to get one eventually.

I was wondering if this dealer installed option was the wickerbill that I had heard of previously. I thought it might be some appearance item that had no validity.

Thanks,
Ken

The wickerbill is a dealer-installed option so I would bet that's what it is.

if it is placed in the lower position, the rear visibility is not impacted very much. In the higher setting, visibility is greatly reduced.

Worth the $450.00 just for the look alone

If you don't go factory, ZL1addons has a nice option.

Pic for reference.
