There's a Camaro that drives around here that's all blacked out with black wheels and limo tinted windows and he drives around with the windows up and top down. I think it looks pretty cool.

Jeep owner here. Top comes off in about May.
We drive with the windows up and heater cranked until it gets warmer in the morning.

Some just like the open feeling. Later in the day when it's warmed up, windows go down.

We've gotten so used to the open feeling when we come off the freeway all windows go down.

Just the way it is.

Dunno how this turned into a 'vert thread though.... remember when cars used to have under hood lights, but no light in the trunk?
I find it refreshing! Could have been: V6 vrs V8, auto vrs manual, catch can, which CAI is best, got my first ticket, fuse pull, what oil you recommend, key fob recall, VTC, drove in the rain and lost control, parking, ClarityCamaro...

It happens, I got hit the other day. You have to think it is easier to get poop off of leather.

Last night a friend of mine referred to "that fancy car you have"

That's a real world view from someone that sees cars for their utilitarian purposes, a VW buyer he is. I'll bet his Volkswagon has a light in the glove box though, probably LED.

I hardly ever use the sun-visor in any vehicle, but when I try to use the Camaro's they don't do much.

I do know with tinted windows if you drive away from the sunset my car thinks it's night time.

I like a nice thread that gets people talking, and it can't be moved because it's a general Camaro topic.

I like my Camaro a lot too, just throwing ideas around.

I've got one of those but in black! Sits in the passenger seat back pocket thingy. The sun visors were clearly an afterthought though. May as well ditch em.

Actually, I had a 2011 Vert when they first came out then traded it for a ZL1 Vert when THEY came out, and so far (knock on wood), I've never had a bird crap on me with the top down yet.

Actually, some convertibles do look good with the top up. One car that comes to mind is the '68-'72 Chevelle convertibles. The rear side window glass is shaped differently than the hardtop and they look killer with the top up or down. Another is the fullsized Caprice/Impala from '71-75 especially the Caprice models with the rear wheel fender skirts.

No offense, but the 5th gen 'verts look sort of goofy with the top up. I agree, they definitely look better with the top down. However, they don't look nearly as bad as the 4th gen convertibles with the top up. Sorry, but those things look hideous with the top up IMO.

I drove the same convertible for 300K miles, still own it.

Never, even once, did a bird shit on the car while driving, let alone get the shit in the car.

'68-'72 GM A bodies- Chevelle, Cutlass, Le Mans, Skylark families- share the same general shape, and the same frame.

This is my '70 Buick
