JBA cat back compatibilty question?

Hello all,

This is my first post here so please be kind. I haven't been in the F body crowd since 2000. That being said I just picked up a 2015 2SS.

I have a question about the fitment of JBA cat back exhaust part number jba 40-3114. Some sites say this will fit the 2015 but it is not listed on JBA sight for the 2015s. Does anyone know if this will actually fit a 2015?

I had JBA Headers and exhaust on my last LT1 Camaro and just fell in love with the sound, and nobody believed me when I told him the car did not have a cam! Also love hearing the valves open and close like a 60's big block!!!

Thanks in advance,

Sam

Try calling JBA direct for assistance. Maybe you can get some cutsheets of their catback that you can compare to your current set up.

Haven't read of too many people getting the JBA catbacks around here... its a variety of other great sounding ones, like Magnaflow, Corsa, Flowmaster etc... muffler delete sounds great also on the LS3 and once you disable AFM on the L99.

I've got JBA's high flow cats and they're very well made, sound great, and is one of the best mods on this ride, next to my headers... lol, literally and figuratively speaking...

Would love to hear how they sound once you get them installed if you do go this route...

Thanks for the responses guys.

I did talk to Dustin at JBA and there is a slight difference for the 2015s. Apperently, there is a slight variation in the rear valance on the 15s that because of, the tips wouldn't clear the back of the car.

That being said, the old part number is 40-3113. The new part number for the 2015s is 40-3120.

They are in stock at JBA but very few dealers have them in stock yet. If you order through a dealer, Dustin could probably expedite the order from the inside.

Thanks again,
Sammy

PS
If you YouTube "jba camaro" the grey SS is stock, except for jba LTs, catted mid-pipe and full cat back.

Sounds like my old setup from my 1994 Formula. Scares children and sets off car alarms, but then again that part of me never grew up and probably never will

Yes another person that loves the sound this system makes. I have the LT Headers with high flow cats with the 3 inch comp axle back set up. a lot of people like the way it sounds but it is my ears which make the difference. Mine is cammed and supercharged and love the sound.

Yea this video is what made me get the catback:

But in this case the video sounds a little better than real life which is usually the opposite lol but still sounds awesome.

Am I correct that you only got the cat back?

From what I am reading, the cats and headers really make a difference in the sound- especially in the low end grunt.

Ordering mine from CPR on Thursday or Friday God willing

No I have 1 7/8 longtube headers and hiflow cats. I only had it on for a couple weeks. This time I'm gonna keep it on whenever I put I back on my car though.
