They do NOT have to put it on the car. I'm in New York state; a state that requires a front plate. My dealer had to order the bracket when I ordered my '15 1LE but he didn't put it on. I requested that it be left in the trunk and they did just that.

I like how the FOB unlock & lock is over & under, not side by side. This will be easier to remember without looking at it. Looking forward to pics, and congrats man!
