Yep, happens to me too w/fart can v4/v6, but I let them have their fun -- and let them fart by. However, was heading home, traffic was tight and a white challenger was on my arsh... guess he wanted to paint my bumper white or something like that. Looked at him -- don't know him from Adam nor recognize his car. Just mean-mugging me for idk reasons. Anyway, there's my on ramp -- glance left -- NO TRAFFIC! Like harps strings and the word "Permission" flashed before me whiiiiiirrrrrrle when the SC -- he could not keep up w/me on the on ramp. Lifted and saw he was peddling fast -- then he went to the slow lane and exited. Gosh I love this car Thought i'd share

Guy on a mopad does this in a 35mph zone!

So at the stop sign I get out and say, "Do you realize this car weighs almost 4000 lbs? And if I had to stop suddenly, you're going to get hurt really bad?

Unbelievable how ignorant some people are!

This scenario has happened to me at least 5x in the last month and I do not understand what these guys are thinking - are they going home and telling their friends that they blew by a ZL1 today (as I didn't know we were racing and the traffic on the road would have made it an unwise choice)

I don't get this attention with any other make/model on the road - you guys experience this too?

My Buddy was bragging all night at the local pub how he smoked a ZL1 in Flagler beach !! Was that you?

In Boston it's the soccer moms and the Audi/Mercedes/BMW - I am more important than everyone else douche bags.

The men in mini-vans up here are often too defeated by marriage to even try.

The Priuses, everyone hates them. From the mini coopers to the work vans, we all hate the prius drivers. But not for the car, for their entitled bullshit attitudes they give people.

The ricers are fun to embarrass. I appreciate a great modded import tho and we usually end up talking at the light instead of the douchebaggery.

LOL - no, all the times that this has happened - it's been in Orlando.
Haven't had anyone do this in Flagler beach - we're too laid back at the beach.

Been getting flipped the bird at stop lights recently. Usually a guy with a female passenger.

I am guessing the girl said, "Wow, nice Camaro" as they pulled up and his fragile ego couldn't handle it.

Here's what I've noticed on the streets of SoCal...

When I first got the Camaro, it seemed like everyone wanted to give me a go. Honda's, Hummers, pickups... yep, you name it. It was actually a bit disconcerting in a way. Was I going to have to deal with this throughout the lifetime of my car?, I asked myself more than once.

None of it was enough for me to even think about getting rid of my ride or anything of the sort, and because I've dealt with this kinda stuff before with my previous rides, I knew better than to bite into their ways. It is what it is, and I accepted that some think I'm out to race because I drive a V8 Camaro.

Slowly, through the last few years, I began to mod it. Thanks to Camaro5 and its members, I learned a lot of how-to, do-it-yourself with bolt-ons and tuning and suspension etc. I already came from a background of knowing cars and what makes them go, tearing things apart with family and friends in the past. This place was just icing on the cake and I'll take a moment to thank you.

As I began to Mod it, I began to notice that the attempts to race were beginning to cease, more and more of late. I learned that as my car began to look and become more aggressive, cars don't do what they used to... I mean, what's the mindset here? No way I'm messing with that? If they're smart.... lol.

The exterior body mods have helped, along with the wider tires, quad tips/exhaust tone, lowered stance... all that mess, it really is something not to be ****ed with...

So things have slowed down around me these days... and I like it. Cars still pass of course because I'm not doing 90+ constantly on the freeway, but I've noticed that most slow down after doing so. Most now even signal more often than not when getting in front of me, also slowly... when it used to be constant pass and cut off just a few feet from my front bumper without signaling. These days, if I'm cruising behind a slower car, most cars that become impatient behind me don't just want to pass me but they make a real effort to get at least 1-2 cars in front of me. Its actually pretty funny.

I like the beast that this ride has become, and it continues to evolve. Happy hunting, folks... be safe... and if you can, help others be safe as well. Sometimes all it takes is the roar of that engine.

Not in SD. Over here everybody and their grandma in a mini van or other underpowered vehicle always tries to pass me by. Worse still when they try to out maneuver or out handle my car, lol, people are funny!

i had this happen to me a last weekend. I was just enjoying a night of cruising when 2 turbo diesel trucks kept taunting me. So let them have it! However car shifted violently to the left near one truck due to lack of traction and boost kicking in so i let off

Did you ever consider that someone is taunting you just to watch your car run ??

Had a stang catch up to me pretty quick today couldn't tell if it was a 5.0 or not. When they caught up guess they saw the SS badge with a rumble and quickly and I mean quickly back off. I'm a car person so I like a variety a of cars and they had a nice black and green look going with it. So we took the same route for a bit and he kept they're distance till we had to split. Holidays are here so a lot more people are trying dumb things just to get around now.

I get Hondas and Pick up trucks always wanting to race me in my ZL1. Sometimes I unleash the Beast on them.

Yes, the ZL1 gets a lot of attention. My V6 did not.
