Step 2 - Mechanical decontamination

Follow that with a "clay" treatment
Be sure to use plenty of clay lube with the towel.
Be sure to do a "break in" on your glass before use on paint!

There are quite a few variations of the same polymerized rubber
Sponge, Wash Mitt, Towel, Pad for DA Polisher etc.

I personally prefer the towel. It offers "feel" and "sound".

I'm sure there is there are a few folks that make different versions.
I use a Nanoskin Autoscrub Towel (FINE) and I like it.

Seems like a pretty straight forward process. I've seen the pad style ones for about $20 . May have to pick one of those up!

I use ADAM'S products.
That pic was just a wash, and detail spray.
The wax & brilliant glaze is awesome stuff.
I put the VRT on my vinyl.
A little pricey for some. But it works, & it smells GREAT!

Looks awesome! I'm going to wait till closer to thanksgiving/Black Friday and see what deals are out there. Thinking I'm going to build my own little bundle for myself and my father.

Get 4 buckets from lowes for $10, order 4 grit guards, which beats $25 for one bucket from the online stores. Get a pack of 10 eagle microfibers from TRC for 35, and order a couple of their drying towels. Get two incredimits/pads from microfiber madness. And a speedy prep towel/pad along with the iron x

Then is just comes down to determining what shampoo that's pH balanced, rinseless/wayerless wash, picking a glaze/gloss enhancer and what wax/sealants

If I can get away close to $200 for it all I'll be happy since that's abojt what it would cost for two of the Adams daily driver bundles before shipping is included

Took advantage of the Black Friday deals, figured I would update you all on what I got. Spent more than I wanted but I ordered stuff from Apex Motorsports and Detail-Image, which should cover everything as a nice Christmas gift for myself and my father!

Apex-Motorsports has Adams products(figured if I don't like how they work Adams has an amazing 110% guarantee!)
2x liquid paint sealants
1x revive hand polish
1gal car shampoo
1gal all purpose cleaner
1gal total interior detailed
4x MF applicator pads

DI had 25% off:
4x grit guards
3x spray bottles
3x 16oz dispensers
1x car pro iron x
1x grout sponge
1x 32oz ONR
2x speedy prep pads (got for $22ea)

Still need to get some MF Stuff. Probably going with TRC to order 10x eagle Edgeless for 35, 4x WW towels. That should cover it for rinseless washing, drying and removing products right?

Only thing I didn't get that I really want to try is the Adams H20 GG

Nice. You've set up a good detailing kit for your father and your self.

you can buy the Gamma lids a Lowes for 7.28, just bought two when I was looking in the paint section for a smaller 3.5 gallon bucket, and those were 4.28.

Awesome I still need to go to lowes and get some buckets. Last time I was there they had lowes logo buckets for $2-$3 each, hope the grit guards fit those!

I almost bought some detail spray from apex but they didn't have it in the gallon size

As for TRC everests, the site says they are unavailable at this time. I plan on picking up the eagle eddgeless as my understanding is those can be used for detail/polish removal and also rinseless and wayerless washing? Or am I mistsken

And also get some waffle weaves for drying

Ordered 10 eagle edgeless towels from the rag company, hope these will work well for rinseless/waterless washing, and buffing! Oh and I ordered 4 ww for drying!

I think I'm done for a little while. Spend a tad more than I wanted but I feel like I got a lot for my money and half my Christmas shopping is done now! Now to wait on the new vehicle to arrive.. Hopefully only 4 more weeks of waiting...

I use a mix of products....

Optimum no rinse/no rinse with wax for car wash/quick detail/clay lube

2 buckets with grit guards

Variety of microfiber, I have different ones (and keep seperated) for paint, interior and wheels/tires.

Right now i have Chem Guys wax/sealant. Looks great and lasts quite a while.

Interior dress up/leather cleaner is all Meguiars, it all works well and is cost effective.

I have a porter cable polisher, (7424xp), with pads from a variety of companies, and Meguiars polishes.

One suggestion I do have if you pick up a polisher/buffer, pick up some real soft pads for application of wax and sealants so you can apply them with the tool. This will help what you buy go much further, which is important when a bottle of wax/sealant runs you $30-$40.

For drying, I'd still get a MM Dry Me Crazy or Waverider. Best quality drying towels you'll find to avoid scratches while drying.

Well I have received all the products that I have ordered. Want to add my quick input on my experiences with each company.

Detail-image and TRC were phenomenal! Products shipped on Monday and I had them by Thursday! Everything was packaged well and came as I would imagine!

Now my order for Adams products through Apex Motorsports, I must say I am impressed with the sales they had, but LESS than impressed with their business methods. So here is my rant:

Shortly after placing my order I got my order confirmation email, and it stated I would be contacted when my order has shipped! Awesome! I order 11/27 and expected a short delay due to the huge holiday sales. Well I received my items from the other vendors on Thursday 12/3 but had yet to hear anything from Apex, so I sent them an email inquiring about and updated status.
I was quickly emailed back with an invoice and tracking number saying that my order as been filled and shipped. So I looked at the invoice to see what products were shipped, everything I ordered was listed. I received my package in 1 day (shipped 12/3, got it 12/4, pretty good but it was only coming form KY to OH, they may have expedited it due to the mistake of not shipping it earlier? Not sure)

So I open my package and notice my gall on of Adams car shampoo was missing, I look at the invoice in the package and find a note written on it saying they no longer had the car shampoo due to running out during the sale... really a note on the invoice in with the products I ordered.. I feel this could have been handled better. Such as when they were taking the week to process the order they could have sent an email stating the are out of stock of car shampoo and offer to refund my money for it or ship it when back in stock (for free, since I originally bought $100+ of products that qualified for free shipping). Instead I got a note with my package stating they were out of stock of the product and would refund my money. I know it seems like silly to complain about the $20 gallon of car wash but now I loose out on any of the sale deals, so if I want the same product I will by buying it for double the price PLUS shipping costs...

As of 12/5 they did refund my card for the amount of the shampoo, but I will be calling them to speak to someone about this during their business hours.

They definitely owe you a rain check for the sale price. The other problem with that is that if you had planned on using it soon, you could have ordered elsewhere and had it when you needed it. They certainly dropped the ball.
