Skeptical on my exhaust (Video)
I actually like the way my exhaust sounds, but I want a cleaner tone. I have called several shops and they did not help at all, one even told me to get a Mustang (which I know sound clean as hell). Here is my current exhaust

Sounds raw as hell, sounds great. Mustangs and Camaros sound entirely different. I suppose if you want a cleaner sound throw some street mufflers on it.

Thanks for the upside down video lol. Yea don't call exhaust shops. We are petty much all pros on here when it comes to Camaro exhaust. I see you have highflow cats and a muffler delete. Automatic or manual? Im guessing manual judging by the volume. I think what you want is a magnaflow resonated x-pipe in place of your h-pipe and stock resonators. That will quiet it down a little bit and give u a smoother tone and also get rid of some drone if there is any.
Btw I have LS3 with longtube headers and no mufflers with quad tips. Sounds awesome and super loud but I think I'm gonna put a 3inch catback on and the no weed diverters.

Your car sounds MEAN! I ran LT's with High flow cats and straight pipes for a while too. Eventually, it wore me out and was just too much. Personally I love the way the Magnaflow cat backs sound. I had the axle back on my car and it was great. I would recommend researching the exhaust threads here and decide what sound you are after. THEN call me and we'll set you up with a great system for a great price.

Maybe add a resonator or two? Sounds good, but a bit raspy. Needs refinement.

That's why I prefer the mustang sounds over the camaro and the vette's. It doesn't sound BAD though. It kinda sounds like it's cammed a little bit. A lot of people after that sound.

A little raspy is all, its nicer with longtubes by far, I do not have any rolling video of mine, but you do sound like you could use a three way controller from FORZA.... LOVE MINE, MUCH MORE SURDY AND USEABLE THAN THE M2W SWITCH OF WHICH I OWNED TWO..ONE CRAPPED OUT IN A YEAR....... AND MUSTANGS ARE EMBARASSED BY THEIR WEAK ***** EXHAUST SOUND COMPARED TO MINE AND JUST DROOL...........

Getting rid of your H pipe with an X-pipe will eliminate the rasp, but if you go to a resonated X-pipe, you're going to be back to square one because it will be almost too quiet.
Check out some of the comparison vids.. the resonated X has a major effect.. Edit.. The reonated X is more effective at killing the AFM sounds if you have the L99. |
