Zl1 spoiler

I bought a zl1 spoiler and painted it myself over the weekend. It's been raining pretty bad here in the Dfw but it didn't take long to put this on! Only problem I really struggled with was trying to get the stock spoiler off. I had to really pull hard. I had read on these forums that there would be some paint rub.. Sure enough there was. Down to the metal it looked like. And it was worse than what I thought. Luckily most people don't really think to look but it's noticeable to me.. Also, there was 3 holds I had to plug. I used the plugs that were under the trunk lid that held the felt on. So here is a before with stock spoiler:

And the zl1 spoiler

Will be painting the plugs later when it isn't raining. Thanks for looking!

I like it. Nice job.

I have to ask, though: what's the deal with the photo of your car in the muddy grass near the fence?

You hook up the third brake light.....? for under the light where you have plugs I used two part epoxy putty shoved in underneath through the lock area and leveled off then touch up painted, then I cut some vinyl to cover the area to do black out and it came out real nice........

I opted out on the brake light. I felt like I had enough brake lights going on

Very nice, I had mine painted to match my car and the holes covered. I also had the trunk lid repainted as well. I'm thinking of using plasti dip to paint the mirror caps and ZL1 spoiler, just to see how they look with my tinted lights, black bezels and black rims. I like how it looks on yours, so I might give it a go

Got a link to where you bought it so I can check it out? I didn't know you could 'opt out' on the brake light... thanks.
