Heel-and-toe in the z28

Hi guys,

I find the brake and throttle a bit far apart for heel and toe shifting. Has anyone tried a different pedal set? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Sit much closer to the pedals and the steering wheel than you normally would at the street. That should make it slightly easier to do the heel and toe, as well as make very sharp turns at the track.

These are exactly what I have been looking for! Thanks.
I'm more of a ball-ball shifter myself(front left ball of foot on brake, right ball on pedal, roll ankle to blip throttle) and these closer pedals are exactly what I have been looking for.

Hey, thanks for the video! Awesome to see Senna in action in a road car.

I'm actually pretty good at H-T, but it always helps to have a good pedal set up. It's a low cost mod that can make a huge difference on track. Thanks again for the vid. I'll probably watch it a 100 times and still not be tired of it!

+1 on SRP pedals. Gorgeous pieces, super grippy, and heel toe is a cinch with them on. To properly install, you need to drill the pedals but it is well worth it.

I got this same set and found I still desired a little more mass to the gas pedal. Contacted manufacture and he machined one with an additional .75 - 1 inch mass added to the left side of the pedal.

Connect with Brian at http://www.srpracing.com

Here's pdf of drawing for the pedal he made me.

I find them to be in a good position kind of. Actually I do more of a right side of right shoe toe instead of heel toe since I don't have enough room with my long legs. Works great. Much quicker than heel toe. I move my right foot to the point it is between the break and throttle and press on the throttle and walla.

the "side of the foot" technique works better for me as well. I am not sure how someone gets their heel/toe combo positioned for perfect heel/toe in a Camaro. Their ankle must be much more flexible than mine...weird statement...lol!
