The SS's dried up quick around here. One local dealer still had a Z28, but it may have been sold by now. Still a few V6's around.

Thanks for doing the research, but those are coupes, and I wanted a convertible... WHICH I EVENTUALLY GOT!!! The deal with the other buyer didn't work out so they called me back. I just drove it off the lot about two hours ago... and man, am I stoked!

Thanks guys! I'm already loving that car. People in another thread said that I'd get comments on it. On the way home from the dealership I stopped at a store and someone complimented on how nice a car it was. I was like, "Cool, thanks! It's about 30 minutes old!"

I snagged a 1SS 6 speed with rs package, rear vision package, and navigation. Sticker price was 36,800 got it for 27,500 on black Friday. Only SS within 100 miles of me with the sale pricing. Pretty excited!

Whoa! 20% off would have been $29,440 - you got almost another 2k off, PLUS the 20% cashback bonus... THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!

My dealer wouldn't budge on the price because he knew that someone else would snatch it up- I got exactly 20% off MSRP. Considering that during a normal purchase you can talk them down at least a few grand off MSRP anyway, I didn't really get the amazing deal it sounds like, but that's OK. I still saved much more than I would have during a normal purchase (I saved about $10k), and I got a car that I freaking love! Plus, I didn't get screwed on my trade-in. High-fives all around!

EXACTLY!!! I had a 2006 Mazda MX5 that KBB was 7500 in good shape, and it was near mint with 70k miles. They offered 5k at first and I said no way. I ended up getting 7k for my trade and I owned it outright. I put 1000 down with my trade and financed 19500 at 1.49%. Never imagined it would all work out. Best part is the new SS is only 120.00 more a year than the 2006 mazda for insurance . and good old NH no sales tax

Green Flash 2SS/RS Vert was over 50k, but the coupe is closer to 47k. If you walked out @ 40k + TTL you did good.

The reason some dealers are/did not participate was this clause in the incentive; "1. Cash offer on 10% of eligible vehicles in dealer stock." This is a random meaningless clause that the public has no means to verify. Most of the franchise sales staff "played dumb" on which models qualified.
