Long day. Didn't see many kids but got all seen that were at school. I got a call late in the day from my sister. Dad has taken another turn for the worse. He probably had more mini strokes or a bigger one. He has no movement in his left arm, is no longer able to swallow or talk, they cannot get anything down him so no fluids, food or even his meds. He has a fever. They gave him a Tylenol suppository, breathing treatment & suctioned out his mouth/upper throat. That is about all they can do for him. My sisters & I spend a couple of hours with him talking to him & holding his hand. He does squeeze your hand with his right hand sometimes but unclear if it is more of a reflex or conscious. We could lose him any time or at most we may have days to a couple weeks. I am tired but still have a couple of notes to do. Later crew.

I'm up but not very at'um. I set the alarm for early to try to get to work early so I can see as many kids as possible but just could not get up.

We lost 2 of our much loved 101st soldiers in an Apache helicopter crash last evening.

It is really cold here. Seems appropriate for what is going on.
