I traded my 2005 C6 Corvette for the Camaro.. i need more than 2 seats for the 3 of us.

Tired of taking the wife's honda when we go someplace.

My Camaro is still going to be a TOY. At least it transports more than 2 people.

I got Blue book price when I traded it in 2 weeks ago. It about paid for my new Camaro.

Love 'em both to death, I just wish I had the coin and space to buy both.

I just have to wonder, Sly2, the 09s are still "new", why did you buy one if there was even a hint of needing back seats? Cause you're probably going to take a hit on that, now.
Corvette respect is easily gained. I gained it going on a test drive with some race car driver on his way to Road America in Elkart Lake, who wanted to take a test drive in a Z06. All I can say is - it was a good thing those seats were leather. Until I ever get to take a hot lap with any of the team chevy nascar drivers, that will be the closest to CAR FEAR I ever had - the Z06 is a street legal racer in my book!

All i have to say about this is you know GM got this car right when guys are giving up there Vette for this new Camaro. As for me the place ive worked at could never in 12 years get me to work any extra overtime. Well lets just say im freaking tired as heck from all the OT im currently working to save up for this amazing car.

Don't turn this into a which car is better arguement. I have owned 3 Vettes (90,91,98 all new at their time) and now a 2SS. The cars are different IMO, the vette is a 2 seat sport car and the Camaro is a 2+2 Muscle Car. I loved them both.

When I decided to buy a fun car again I considered both. I opted for the Camaro because I could put my two boys in the backseat and have fun with them included. In the Vette I would have isolated myself.

Now that I own the Camaro, I am glad I made the choice I did as its a different car, a different experience and that to me adds to the enjoyment. I could care less what other people drive or how many are around. Two of the largest Vette dealers are both within 100 miles of me so Vettes are commonplace too.

I agree with others in that you will take a financial hit, but hey, if its what you want and you can afford it - Go for it. You only live once.

Enjoy

Me too. My SSR was (sold it Friday) a two seater...My 8 year old and my 13 year old were really getting cramped squeezing in the front seat or floor board (Not that it happened that often and it definitely was not that safe...).

Anyway, hopefully in a couple of days the Camaro will be here and they can squeeze in the back seat if need be.... The Camaro is definitely not our family car (that is our Chysler 300C), but when my wife needs me to pick up the kids from school, at least they will have a seat....

My wife's car will not be able to whip my ride any more either... I guess she will want a supercharger or something else on her car to keep up with the 426 ponies in the Camaro....

Alright everybody,I went to 5 different dealers and I was offered from 47,000 to 51,000 and they all wanted msrp and would order me the car that I wanted. Now Chevy has a 4,000 Rebate on the 2009 Corvette...I am still making up my mind on what I am going to do....I luv the new Camaro but I just might have to wait another year or so and keep the Vette and add the Camaro later..... Thanks again for all of the comment's...

I love the Camaro also... but If I already had a Vette I would keep it and wait for the Camaro. Hell in a year who knows what kind of "special" Camaro may be out or on the way

I just couldn't decide, so....It's such a bad time to try and trade in anything, you'd be better off off trying to hold on to it for awhile and sell it on your own. A trade in will kill you.
