Another tire thread - Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2

I searched for some threads on this tire and did not find any. I'm looking for a street tire with good all around qualities, not going to track the car with this type of tire.

Has anyone used this tire on a Z? Opinions?

Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2.

My car has them , I have about 3k on them . I'd say definatly not a track tire. Rides nice and smooth and quiet. If it's even a little wet out , they spin very easily. That could be with any tire I suppose on these cars though.

I used the first gen evo on a BRZ. I know, I know .... That's no z28. Still, I wasn't too impressed. Ultimate grip didn't seem much better than the (crappy) OE Michelins, and they wore quickly. Hmmm ... Cheap though!

If you're looking for value (who isn't), the Michelin PSS is quite amazing. Top level grip and very good wear. You pay more initially, but you get more.

That is the by far the worst performing tire that I have ever purchased. I literally burned them off and replaced them within a month of buying them because I hated them so much.

Thx everyone! You gave me what I was looking for.

I think I'm going with either RE-11's or Coninental DW's.

Thx again. Good info.
