I know that this might be the best place to post... then again, it might be given my thoughts about potential effectiveness about product. Is it worth it? ... Do you think it would work (worth it $30-$40) as a deterrent to potential thieves? Or something they would just laugh at?

A complete waste of money. I remember a video a few years ago that showed 10 different ways to defeat one of these in less than 5 seconds. Eye-opening to say the least. Bump pick the lock, use a chisel and hammer to break it, freeze it with canned air and shatter it, shim the teeth, saw through the steering wheel, and 5 more I can't recall.

You are better off with the lock that locks the brake pedal. It's very strong, and very hard to get too even with tools, I am sure there is a way to beat it but since it's very tight down there I can't imagine it being very easy

They could also cut through the wheel. But anything that slows them down the better. If there is too much to do to get your ride, they move on.

I kinda figured it was not full proof ... just thought it might work as a deterrent.
Hmmm.

Seems to be a lot of Camaro thefts here in the Bay Area :-(.

You used to see them all the time on 80s TV infomercials --THE CLUB !!
A guy I know got one and when he came outa the Mall, His car was gone and The Club was sitting in the parking spot !!!---Even He got a laugh out of it.
