Spoiler Install
Has anybody in the DMV had an aftermarket spoiler installed in their Camaro?
Thanks. |

I installed my maverick man wing. Installed with factory holes and used a little double sided tape.

Aftermarket spoilers are an easy install as long as they use the factory mounting holes.

haha that makes it a little more difficult. Either find a trunk with the holes or measure twice and drill once.

Ok guys so this local shop with pretty good ratings on Yelp is quoting me $100-150 Depending on time it takes, because they charge $100 per hour. Would Y'all consider this price fair for the installation?

Ive never had it done so hard to say. Some come with templates as well.
That or id get a no drill spoiler that uses double sided tape. My subaru had one on for YEARS. no issues.

haha right
ummm, yea I think that's probably fair considering the work. after all the measuring, drilling and actual installation its probably about an hour worth of work. |

I bought a spoiler from an eBay store. The color matched perfectly and I haven't had a problem with the quality. I also have an LS so I had to drill my own holes. The spoiler came with templates and instructions on how/where to drill.
This is the technique I used. |

Just make sure to use 3M tape between the spoiler and trunk lid. Do not under any circumstances, bolt the wing directly to the lid. Even if you have a stock wing, pull it off and apply tape, GM has a recall service bulletin to repaint the car because of this.
