Where are you guys getting Insurance from. I was running quotes today through Allstate and they are 940 for 6 months on a 2LT. The bogus part about this is, if I get an SS the rates fall to 740. I dont get it.

What are you getting for 6 month rates? And through who?

Not sure of my total either, but it wasn't much more than my 2004 RX-8, which in CT is considered a 4 door coupe here in CT. Much cheaper than when I lived in NJ and it was a 2 door sports car. Mine is through Plymouth Rock. Idk if you have a broker but I use Howland and Sargent in Somers. They are awesome to work with. Before I renewed my policy last year, they called me and said we can save you $800 a year if you switch to Plymouth Rock for the same coverage. Ask for Jody if you call and tell her I sent you!

Joe - let me know if you are still getting your tint put on today. I want to check out the job they do for you. I am leaning towards not doing the full stripes any more. I can't cover up the paint the more I look at it. I think I may go with the spear type stripes which I can probably do myself, so no need to go to NJ to get them put on.
PS: Order my Loudmouth II today, now that my car is back, so I'll let you know once it is on so you can hear it

Roger that! I think I might be leaning toward the MBRP or Borla. Loud but not too loud!

I' trading in a car for 8,000. and putting down $3,000 more. So total of $11,000 down.... for a 35k car.

That's a little more than I put down. I did 6,000 trade + 1,000 down + 1,000 GM points for 8,000 total. My MSRP was 32,565 for the 1SS. Got my loan from PenFed for 28,000 (ended up overpaying and getting a check from O'Neills for a little over 1,200 which is paying for my exhaust and some other stuff) and went with the 72 months they offererd at 4.75 and my payments are 445/month. So if you put 11k down on the 35k car, your loan and payments should be a little less than mine - if you go with the 72 months.
