I was 17 the first time (1970 1/2 Z/28). I am now 48 and the proud owner of a 2015 Black Z/28.

67, enjoy our 2015 Z06 Z07 convertible and now the 2015 Z/28. Love the old stuff but these new toys are insane.

67. Going strong. First muscle car I drove was a '67 Camaro (girlfriend's car). First muscle car I bought was candy-apple red, '69 Mustang fastback with 351 engine, manual shift. Bought it to race against the girlfriend. No sooner had I bought it than the girlfriend ditched me and her Camaro, replacing me with a new boyfriend and the Camaro with a Porsche 911! Left me way in the dust! Oh, and the new boyfriend also had a Porsche! Crazy college days back in the late 60's...

by far the fastest and the most fun. Have a heavily modified 2012 SS, but it can't hang with the Z28 on the track

Hi all,
I'm 62 and still working as a full time LEO in SoCal. This is my 2nd Z28 and it replaced a 13 Boss 302 Mustang. My first Z28 was an 84...nice, but it needed a ton of help to be a real fun car. I saw the articles about 14 Z's and wanted one, but here in So Cal the 14's were pretty rare and several dealers I spoke to said they were selling at about $20k over sticker. That's when I bought the 13 Boss. The Boss was a very nice car, but it was NOTHING compared to this Z28. I just got my break-in mileage completed, and actually got to really drive the car! It is so impressive. A lot of talk around everywhere about the new GT350. My good friend is a manager at the local Ford dealer and said the standard GT350 is going at $20k over retail sticker, and the "R" version will be even more than that, if they can get one... I'm sure the new "R" will be a good car, but I still prefer the looks and drive qualities of my 15 Z. I may just get buried in this Z!!!!!!!!!!! Take care, JJ |
