Why did you get (or want) a Camaro?

Because...

...my wife wanted it
...we have 2 other camaros
...i was sick of my 07 Corvette
...i got a deal i couldnet pass up
...it looks like this



...it is SOOO comfortable
...my dad has a mustang GT
...it may be our last chance for a while to get something with a 426 HP V8

NOT because...

...bumblebee
...attention
...so people would envy me
...racing

The beauty about the Camaro is it is NOT logical.

It is an abomination on many levels. That's why people like it.

It's the "anti" of all the cars on the road. (this car basically says SCREW YOU. my car is cool, and your car is a boring piece of mutated committee-meeting reserved-looking piece of crap.)

(2010) Camaro is like something you would build YOURSELF if you could. Of course, if we could do that it would have 600HP and come in every single color.

I will get one in the future buy mine won't see the light of day. I am just getting one to say I have one in the garage. I might sit down next to it and have a beer or something. I am not ordering one either. I will just find one that finds ME. (same way you find a spouse.)

Well, it is a very subjective question to me. I didn't need it, but, I am an enthusiast.

1. This is my fourth Camaro. (Also on Trans Am)
2. I fell in love with the car when I first saw it in Detroit back in January 2006.
3. I had always wanted an all out performance sport coupe since I was a kid.
4. This is one great looking automobile.
5. It is fun to drive.
6. My wife loves the car.
7. It is comfortable as all get out (I can say this after driving it for 1368 miles last week.)
8. It has an attitude unmatched by virtually any other coupe on the road.
9. It is probably the last new car I ever buy, as I am getting on in years.
10. I am at a point in my life where it was either a Camaro or a Buick. Nothing against Buicks. Personally, just not my cup of tea.

Because the wife said we were getting one. And no one argues with my wife. /sigh Guess I just have to drive it now.

Because my son totaled the ’03 Cavalier that I had just paid off the month before for which I traded in the ’90 IROC when all the repairs for it were nickel and dime-ing me to death. Now all the kids have grown up and moved out of the house and Mama has the need for speed once again.

I drove a lexus which had ample power. Going from driving a lexus with 250+ horsepower to a car that has LESS then 200 wouldnt cut it for me.

I got used to driving a nice vehicle (albeit my parents car), and I refused to settle for anything less. The Camaro is the smooth ride I've come to enjoy.

The Camaro has enough retro combined with modern tech to justify the purchase of a "pony" car. But this ain't no pony! It's a car with attitude, looks, driving dynamics and power (in either engine choice). I'm old enough to remember the original in 1967. Still have the brochure I picked up at the dealer as a teenager. The 2010 model sparked those same feelings in me. As I began seeing the production versions of this car, there was no doubt in my mind that the "family" car (Aura) was going to be a future trade-in. When a car grabs at you like this, you've got to answer the call
