When I went to order my Camaro back near the end of July, my salesperson told me that most dealers don't keep a demo version of the car like GM "intended" apparently. However, that particular dealership did, so I was able to test drive a 1LT, since it wasn't for sale and that dealership kept it for anyone who wanted to drive.

Got an email a couple of days ago, seems like my dealership is finally going to sell their demo model, but it has over 2800 miles on it already and they're selling it at MSRP.

I had the chance to test drive one before my order came in, but it was a stick shift car and I don't know how to drive stick. I went to the dealership that I ordered from though.

When I ordered mine on memorial day there was 1 silver 2lt there that was already sold, I got to look at it but not even sit it in it or hear it run. They had no 2ss's like i wanted. I ordered it anyway it's what I wanted and figured it was like buying my harley you don't get to test those either you just know it's what you want and you won't be dissapointed. A month after I ordered mine they did get a black 2ss in and offered me a test drive and I took it, they said don't go too far we don't want a lot of miles on it. I was told then that only if you order and put a down payment on one and they have one there to test drive THEN you can drive it, otherwise no way.

I did plenty of test driving before I ordered the car. In my imagination. I ordered this puppy sight-unseen last November.

If you want a test drive, I suggest renting one from AVIS if you have one nearby, otherwise test drives might be hard to get for a little while.

The other day, I saw one from afar on the other side of the highway... Does that qualify as a test drive? That's the best I could get!

I would NEVER buy a car without driving it first. No test drive, I take my money to another dealer down the road, simple as that.

Whats the point of going thru hours of paperwork and all the dealer BS if you dont even like the car after you drive it? First thing I do is ask to drive it, if they say no, I take my money elsewhere.

I had the same problem, no dealers around here would let you test drive them until you were well into the process of buying the car. We finally bit the bullet and rented one from Avis......it was AWESOME, btw!
