Playing music using bluetooth on mylink touch screen - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hello,

I have been wondering if its possible to play music from my iphone to my camaro using the bluetooth on the mylink touch screen. I owned a 2012 camaro a year ago and i could play music using bluetooth easily but now on my new 2013 camaro with a mytouch screen i cant figure how to do it. Is it even possible?

mine wont do it..i have tried everything...phone connects all ok just no music

What phone do you have?

On my iPhone, sometimes I have to go into Settings > Bluetooth >

It will show it's connected, but I have to at times tap on the Camaro link and it will then play.

Also at times you just have to start playing music on the phone for it to start.

I use both Spotify and Apple Music and they work flawlessly.

sometimes i have to press the large Bluetooth icon in the menu and then it works with my android phone.the only thing that i have a problem connecting with is using Pandora.

Mine does it. I typically have my Bluetooth on my phone on, and pair it with the MyLink. I listen to whatever is on my phone through the system. Spotify, Pandora, my music I have on the cloud with Amazon, it all comes through.

I'm having a similar problem with my iPhone6. It will play Pandora with using the Bluetooth audio option but Pandora is grayed out on the MyLink screen. I think it actually worked correctly once.

To have the mylink show all of the options etc you have to be plugged in with the USB and phone. Once you do this all of the phone control options become available on mylink touch screen. You can still go forward and backward with songs over bluetooth using the steering wheel controls. With the phone plugged in it basically shows you the apps on the phone that are compatible. Your nav becomes available as well when plugged in.

It worked flawlessly on my 2014. Just went to Bluetooth, linked up my iPhone to the car, and viola!. I'm a tech dumbass most of the time, but it worked for both my iPhone and my Driod while I was driving back with the car from California.

You have to make sure the phone's Bluetooth is on too....

i have spent maybe 5 hours trying to get mine to stream music. over bluetooth ..even plugged it in via the usb..still wont do it...my hyundai and van no problems..

the only time pandora is not greyed out on mine is when i connect via usb... it will play bluetooth fine but wont let me have control like it does on usb

Interesting. Right now I have a USB stick installed with music on it which works fine. I'm wondering if I had that in when Pandora did actually function properly via Bluetooth. I don't think I've ever connected my phone via USB though.

i only ever connect mine to charge and it immediately switches to pandora when i plug it in but i dont have any music in itunes on my phone either
