Chevy must be proud of their shit.
This is almost as rediculous as a 75k suburban. If the 1LE makes a debut will it cost around $55k? What about a ZL1 vert, close to 70k or above? Nope, wouldnt buy it! And if a Z/28 costs nearly the same as a Z06 is sure as hell better beat them in every way if you expect someone to buy it. Hopefully over the first 3 years in production the price drops.
This world is coming to....V8s regulated out of existence. You young folks gotta quit voting for people who institute a 54.5mpg CAFE.

Expensive GMT 900s? I found a 2007 Tahoe with only 55,000 miles and a cherry interior for $21,500. Had to put another two grand into it to refresh tires, shocks and solve a stubborn CEL but I love it and consider it to be the best used car I've ever purchased.

Hey I sure as hell dont vote for em.

Not to turn this into a politic fight, but do you know the impact in my area with us being 30% less reliable on oil by 2030 or a minimum wage of $16. I don't want my future business to loose money by paying people nearly twice what they normally would for the same amount of work!!! It would be nice, but where will it come from...
Also, the gas guzzler tax...complete bullshit!!

Also if im ever buying a tesla it will ONLY be for its ludicrous torque it will be right next to my earth killing escalade and ozone splitting supercharged american v8.

I will definitely be getting one. 2LT/RS. Even though mine is not leaking now, I don't trust it not to happen again. Also, my 2012 doesn't have NAV either & I'd really like that capability, whether it be factory or through my phone.

Drove a coupe - the heated steering wheel will be great in a vert on those cold mornings with the top down! (38 is the lowest I've driven in with it down) And the A/C seats will be great too during the summer.

I like to drive interstate with the top down - with the hard tonneau cover I feel much better because the material won't be flapping in the wind. And a completely electronic release/latch that I can open with the key fob AND while I'm driving at 35 or less - can't pass it up!

And the interior is just such a huge improvement over the 5th, that I'm going to get the 2016 & THAT will be the one I don't upgrade from once it's paid off. I'll make about $1,000 by trading my 2012 in so it's not too bad of a deal.

I'd like to take a '16 'vert for a test drive and check out the smaller size, added and improved gadgetry but, like you, I'm concerned about the top on my 2011.

Then again, even if a new top costs $3k, that's still less than a year's worth of $300 monthly car payments.

I try to keep my top down all summer. The manual tonneau is completely secure (when installed correctly). Would I replace it with an aftermarket rigid body colored with racing stripe cover? You bet!

As far as interiors, I don't get the gripes about the G5. I wouldn't mind a CD player but other than that, it is comfortable and functional for me.

My #1 'wanna-have-it' is MRC. I am extremely curious as to how this suspension would improve compliance across all types of road conditions.

This is probably a silly question, but are you prohibited from coming south of the border and getting it here or would they nail you with import taxes or something? What's a ZL1 cost in Canada?

My 2011 2SS sticker was almost $45k so not a huge increase over the years.

Don't forget to add the gas guzzler fee!

I agree with Baba, I have a 2013 2LT vert, its now paid off, and I cant justify trading it in for a 16. I have 4900 miles on mine. yes, the 16 are nice, but, like the first year 2011 models, I want to see if that fancy folding tonneau works like it should. but, yes, the pricing on the new 2016 is too much for me, for a v6 no less, let alone a SS

For me, it wouldn't make a lot of financial sense to trade my 2011 2LT RS in toward a 6th Gen. at this time. Although my 2011 is paid for, it only has 7k miles on it. The trade-in would probably be somewhere around $20k-$22k and being free of payments was my goal and that'd leave more to finance than I'd be comfortable with. Having a low mileage, fully paid Camaro convertible is a sweet situation to be in.

Here is the Camaro 6 2016 Camaro Convertible pricing thread:
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433786

1LT (4 cyl): $33,695
1LT (V6): $35,190
2LT (4 cyl): $37,795
2LT (V6): $39,290
1SS (V8): $44,295
2SS (V8): $49,295
Same here, Baba - with 8.5k! I'll keep the $30,000 (2016 sticker less current 2011 value) it would cost to upgrade. Sorry, GM. You sold me what I needed in 2011, and it still fills the need.

Can't be better - have learned to appreciate what I have as what I want. Nothing that takes another $30,000 away from me could make me happy. Nothing.
