Sway Bars only for track?
I bought these sway bars for my camaro. But my friend told me that I might as well have burnt my money and threw it out the window since I won't notice anything unless I am on the track. Is this true? Here is a link

False. Sway bars are a big bang for your buck on these cars. Any corner will be a lot more fun.

You will notice them on every corner you take! Also, if you ever decide to take it to the drag strip, you can put the front on the softest setting and rear on the hardest setting and get a getter launch.

Concur. Sway bars are one of the best suspension upgrades you can make to these rides! Do Not Forget to replace the end links as well... stock is definitely sub-par on that end.
Also, I highly recommend getting Hotchkis... even if you don't start with getting the race pack for almost $1500, you can buy piece by piece at your pace... and in the end you definitely get an awesome suspension upgrade: Hotchkis Race Pack includes: Sway Bars End Links Springs Chassis Brace Strut Tower Brace Here's a pic of the end links... like I said - get them if you're replacing sway bars: |

Yeah, you should be fine... when you buy aftermarket sway bars, usually its assumed you're putting them on stock suspension - meaning stock end links. When you purchase aftermarket endlinks, same situation... its assumed its going on a stock suspension, meaning stock sway bars.
eta, not sure what APEX is referring to... maybe they beef'ed them up a bit since the 2010/2011's... |

End links help with the stability of the car... it helps it feel like its riding on rails... keeps the steering strong. You won't notice a difference with just end links, but the added strength is there when it wasn't there before. |

You'd have to be one of the mildest or least attentive drivers to NOT notice the difference going to stiffer bars. You don't even need to be a very experienced driver to notice this.
I don't know how all of the other bar dimensions differ from OE, but the step from something like 24mm to 32mm is huge. Norm

Isn't every road a race track and isn't every red light an opportunity? Your friend is special, no offence. You will most definitely feel a difference with the sway bars in overall roll stiffness and on corner entry. I also agree with Spec you'll want to replace the end links on the 2010-2011 Camaros but the 2012-2015 FE4 cars have greatly improved links. If you do have a 2010-2011 I suggest our FE4 upgrade package with FE4 sways as that is one of the best suspension improvements you can make. Please feel free to call, email or PM us anytime with questions. ![]() Kayla L. 888.308.6007 Last edited by JDP Sales; 01-05-2016 at 12:17 PM. |

When putting on a Bigger Bar, you will feel the difference all the time until you get used to cornering like an Andretti!
When you get a bigger bar, upgrade the Front EndLinks. You won't feel the difference (unless you break or bend an Original), but they work. There is a lot of Torsional load that goes through them. |

The difference in feel between my 2010 2SS and my 2015 1LE was very noticeable. Those beefier sways really do make a difference.. Some like it, some don't.
I love the aggressive feel of the stiffer suspension and most of my family doesn't notice because our other vehicle is a lifted Jeep. |
