Right headlight keeps going out

So about 2 years ago I hit a pole on my passenger side, I replaced the bumper cover and fender and all was good. No physical damage that I could see on the headlight it looked perfect. But ever since the light keeps going out and then will randomly come back on, the halo always works no problem with it. But I cannot figure out why the light keeps going out. I've replaced the bulb and it didn't help. What do you guys think. Maybe a ground? Also the side marker doesn't blink it just illuminates when the blinker is on.

Have you tried tapping the head light to see if the socket may be loose or have a flimsy connection?

Side markers don't blink

The housing is little loose, or are you talking about the socket for the bulb?

yes I just checked and everything is tight, I even just switched the bulb and the bulb from the passenger light works on the drivers side, so its not the bulb.

We already knew the bulb was not the cause. Anything that is intermittent will be difficult to figure out. Since it's only one side, it has to be a connection issue. It's also not likely a ground problem because it's only one side.

You need to find what causes it to go out to figure what the problem is. Just for example, hitting a bump, turning to one side etc.

Still at the end of the day it's going to come down to a poor power connection. Here's an interesting thought. When the low beam is not working, does the high beam still work? Does the low beam still not work when you switch back from high beam?

It will be fine for about a month or less then randomly go out, so I think it could be bumps causing a bad connection somewhere because turning had never made it go out, and when it does work both high and low beam work fine, and when it's not working neither high or low beam work. And if it is a bad connection where do I start, I've jiggled wires and harnesses and nothing looks torn or rubbed.

When I was referring to the socket being loose, I was not referring to it being tight to the head light housing. I was referring to the bulb in the socket. So unless you removed the socket from the headlight housing, you would not have known that.

When the light is off when it should be on. Remove the socket from the light housing. With protection,(not bare hands) wiggle the bulb in the socket.

If that does not change anything, move down along the wire until you come to a junction of any kind. Wiggle it there.

I wiggled the bulb, wiggled the wire that connect to the bulb, and wiggled every set of wires coming from the headlight assembly and still nothing.

Unfortunately at this point, the only thing left to do is track the entire length of wire from the socket to it's source.

Well from the actually bulb socket it's the short wire that goes to the ballast, but for power to the whole assbemly is a plug on the outside of the headlight assembly, but it wouldn't make sense for it to be the plug on the outside because the halo works, so there is power to the assembly, unless the halo has power off of a different wire on the plug.

Also, is the ballast inside the headlight assembly or outside? Because I can't see it on the inside and can't find it on the outside.

Does the halo run off of the ballast too, because if it does then I can eliminate the ballast being my problem before I go and buy a new one.

My voltage on the gauge is a little more than 12, and that's also while driving, but it will also almost get to 14, but then will randomly go back to a little more than 12, could this be causing the issue?
