There have been lots of discussions on here about naming your car. At first I thought it was kind of a dumb idea (don't flame me just yet). Maybe that is because I couldn't come up with a good name. However, I was washing the car today and I really got a chance to get close to it. Touch it. Look at it's lines. It became apparent to me that it might actually need a name. So then I thought and thought about what to name it. A female name just doesn't seem fitting for a car with so much power. However, a male name just didn't seem to capture the soft side of this car. So I think I came up with the perfect name - Lola. You know, walks like a woman, but talks like a man.

Car's name is officially "Odin!"

Introduction - Odin (pronounced /ˈoʊdɨn/ from Old Norse Óðinn), is considered the chief god in Norse paganism and the ruler of Asgard. Homologous with the Anglo-Saxon Wōden and the Old High German Wotan, it is descended from Proto-Germanic *Wōđinaz or *Wōđanaz. The name Odin is generally accepted as the modern translation; although, in some cases, older translations of his name may be used or preferred. His name is related to ōðr, meaning "fury, excitation", besides "mind", or "poetry". His role, like many of the Norse gods, is complex. He is considered a principal member of the Aesir (Norse Pantheon) and is associated with wisdom, war, battle, and death, and also magic, poetry, prophecy, victory, and the hunt.

In short, Norse (Viking) God of Wisdom and War!

For those that don't...

As many are aware, my car was one of the original Area51 vehicles. It went there, and sat and sat and sat and sat...

One day, many weeks into sitting in Area51 in Pontiac,MI, I came home from work and the first words out of my wife's mouth were, "So, where's Waldo?"

That marked the beginning of my "Where's Waldo?" campaign which became the basis for the Built and Bayed thread. The rest as they say is history.
