Yeah, I know, I ment to say New Yorks got the same problem with the stupid front plates. I mean really what's the point all anyones gonna see is the rear, right?

And.....*sigh* I don't want to, but I have to comment on this "kool-aid" idea. Why is it that because you (general statement) don't like a particular something, that means everyone else doesn't like either; but they just don't have the nads to admit it? Why is it so hard to believe that the people who compliment actually DO like what they see?
I personally like the changes to the lower grille, and I'm definitely happy with the direction I'm seeing here, but I totally understand where people who don't like it are coming from and I can really respect that. Style and taste are very personal so what works for one person doesn't work for others. That's why aftermarket appearance offerings are so vast, because there are tons of different preferences out there. I honestly do like what they did, and I don't appreciate being told I'm wrong, or having people speak for me and say we all hate it.

Jinx, I loooove the photoshop. All good mods. Living in California I'm legally required to mount a front plate, but I'm tempted not to. However, given the nature of this vehicle I question the wisdom of giving the cops one more reason to pay close attention to me. We'll see. I think GM did a decent job of making the front plate bracket as appealing as possible, so I can't complain too much.

and the majority of people who will buy a camaro will not be camaro enthusiasts....many of them too will feel like its not quite like the concept and say what happened to bumblebee...

but at the same time there is some changes we can do in the aftermarket to make it look more like the concept like a new rear bumper to get rid of that bump...i know the halo's will be an option and the lower front fascia will probably be interchangeable....all is not lost and a few minor tweaks will have it looking concept like...

afterburners....oh a man can dream right???
The problem is that they got it all backwards. The production car should look like the concept and people who are into "bling" and "ricer" stuff can add their own tacky grills and giant wings and maybe some stick on "cheeks" for the front air dam. All GM needs to do now is make the stock version available with the cheap grill in "primer grey" and the transformation will be complete.

The stuff they are doing to the front of the production car gives me a feeling I have coined a phrase for: I call it the "Greedo Shoots First" feeling. It might be an obscure reference for some of you but it sums up the embarassing feeling I get from that busy nose. It's NOT a nose I would be proud to be driving around with.

I agree that I've run across people so happy just to have anything new in the Camaro world they would accept an Aveo with a V8 and say it was the best looking Camaro ever, which sort of clouds the issue and doesn't give realistic feedback from the fanbase. I feel the extreme opposite feeling and want to give the proper voice to those of us who want the Camaro to be perfect out of the box and won't just lap up whatever comes out and convince ourselves it's great just because it says "Camaro" on the badge.

Apologies to those who worked on these cars, I just think you missed the targer (concept) style on these changes. It looks like a comittee designed the front and it utterly lacks the timeless look of the concept. In 5 years it will look as dated as the Ford Probe does now.

Please rethink these modifications. Thanks.

Of course there are things that I would change about the car,but I can say that about any car and this is pre-pro so in my opinion it's great. If you don't like what you see go buy a challenger because it sure took a lot of creativity on dodges part(please read this in a British accent "Hmmm what do you say we shorten a charger, slap a new\old body on her, make it as heavy as a tank, and charge 10k more for the same hp the base camaro will have"(srt8)

Last time I checked bolts required HOLES and so once your dealer mounts that thing you get to live with either an ugly bracket or ugly holes. Take your pick.

Maybe I will run a front plate though, so it covers up part of that fugly lower grill.

If they needed it larger for cooling the LEAST they could have done is put it back deep in the opening and not stuck on the outside of the car and maybe took most of the bars out of it so it looked a LITTLE like the concept.

The fact the fool think looks pasted on the front of the opening means less options for the aftermarket too, because they probably left all kinds of mounting hardware protruding out there to hold that thing on and so a recessed grill will require a whole new fascia.

Can you say $$$$$$$$$$$$? Just to get it back to the concept? Great.

That lower grill looks like it's going to be a nightmare to clean with all those tiny slots and bars.

Ugh.

these are literally my exact sentiments....the concept was perfect...and the guys building the car should be careful not to take at full face value the praise of camaro enthusiasts because they are biased and don't represent the general buying crowd...i am a camaro and muscle car lover and the f-bods have been my favorite but it won't stop me from critiquing what i feel is a work in progress and no where near what my final vision nor what the concept had...its not like its un-salvageable as it definitely looks good in current form but it sure ain't timeless like the concept

Maybe the bottom grille is large to allow for air to get to the big a$$ intercooler aka the new Cobalt SS and HHRs.

Even if it is not, I still think it looks hot! Yes I'm biased but some of you guys are quite critical. Is it perfect? I don't know. I can tell you this much, it looks 1,000x better than that $70-80k GT something or other driving simulator.
