Raw fuel smell after cat delete
I just installed JBA cat delete mid pipes on my 2011 L99. The power is great. But the raw fuel smell and AFM "fart" are less than desirable. When I get my SCT tuner that I will order in a few weeks will that help with both of those issues?

you will get a stronger smell without cats but excessive smell is probably because you still have the o2's on. They need to be tuned out.

I hoped to hear that. The SCT tuner will be done by dynosteve and I assumed the smell would not be as strong. Thanks.

That is part of the ball game when it comes to running without cats. Tuning out AFM will fix the "fart" though.

The smell won't completely go away with a tune because that is the purpose of cats, to burn unburned fuel. No cats = unburned fuel making it through.
Don't completely turn off your O2's though. The rear ones yes, the front ones need to be tuned properly though.

E85 with no cats smells great! Really really good actually. Run some of the fuel scents until you get tuned. Heck even after its tuned, the smell is drastically cut down. I run the cotton candy or the bubble gum version. http://m.summitracing.com/search/pro...uel-fragrances

After my long tube install with off road pipes, the smell really was bad ... had to get the high flow cats and now it's much better. Now the only issue is the first Rev the car does during cold starts, it's stupid loud. I've kinda got used to half starting it the first time (let go of clutch before engine reallt starts), then crank it again ... the second time, it doesn't Rev to the moon
