Your missing the point. We have 93 octane here in NY also. How do you know your getting 93 and not 87 or 89??????? It happens all the time. Soooooooooo......for my weekend warrior I was asking is it safe to run a steady diet of Torco or boostane?

That is my question as well. I also want to know if you can simply add the Boostane or Torco and feel the added power or do you have to adjust the timing/fuel ratio to feel the power increase? I won't always use the Torco rather just certain occasions so I wouldn't want to have adjust the timing every time.

Exactly this,
I notice when I fill up at different stations my KR readings will differ. Some will put me in the 6 degree range and some in the 2 degree and some stations in the .x-0 range. It varies every time I fill up at a said station. Speedway may give me no KR, when I initially fill up but a week or two later, when I fill up again, at that same Speedway, same pump. I'll see a different KR reading like 4 degrees. So is the 93 pump gas really 93 pump gas and how much ethanol is in the gas? Is it 1% or "up to" maxed 10%?

Which brings me back to my question, if you don't have "good" fuel, do you recommend adding a bottle here and there? like every other tank?

Do you use it with every fill up or just on occasion?

Did you have to change your air fuel ratio/timing to account for the higher octane and if not do you actually notice more power when you use the Torco vs when you don't?

stock tune, 93+ (1) 32oz can of Torco. I notice less KR when I add it compared to just 93

not that I feel but If its not pulling timing due to knock then it's probably getting more power. 5-6 degrees compared to 0-1 degree.

Do you have any idea how bad xylene is for you? Very bad carcinogen so don't let it touch your skin or breath it. You should see what we have to go through to use that stuff in the oilfield now.
