23000 is the max number you want to avoid going over. I have a 2.55 upper pulley only, and I am getting 15 lbs of boost. There is a thread on this forum that speaks about adjusting the butterfly that controls the boost blow-by. Before I did the adjustment for the butterfly, I only had about 12 lbs of boost. It only took me around 10 minutes to do the adjustment myself. I saw an amazing power gain. My point is who really needs to spin the supercharger faster, when you can get 15 lbs of boost through a simple adjustment and a moderate pulley?. Don't risk damaging your supercharger, find the thread I am talking about and get the free boost that you are losing from the poor factory setting.

The 1.9 is an amazing little blower! You can't do this with the 2.3's. Forget trying to spin a whipple or Ken Bell that fast.

I would hear it whine late in videos but recently I put my GoPro on the hood and recorded take offs of just light acceleration and heard it and watched the gauges. Sent from Wayne's Manor
