Camaro V6 vs. G-37 coupe
For years I wanted to buy a G-35(now G-37) as an every day driver, There used to be a "personal" class of car, like a Buick Riviera, Caddy Eldorado, or even the old Grand Prix. This is the sort of sporty coupe that I want.
Instead of the Infinity, I think the Camaro would be the way to go. I suspect the Infinity would be faster however, since its lighter. What do you guys think? |

I like the G37 as well and looked into getting one before I purchased my Camaro. In the end I liked the exterior better on the Camaro and a loaded 2LT was more than 10K cheaper.

When comparing the V6, the G37 should be faster. Has more horsepower now as well, if I'm not mistaken.
However, I will say that I had a G35 sedan before I got my SS and I'm far more pleased with the SS. ...the G coupes have always come across as feminine to me. I thought they were going to fix it with the G37 coupe, but I was wrong...

![]() G37 will be quicker, 330hp with similar torque IIRC. It's not a real lightweight car though, over 3600 pounds. I think the sedan is and has always been lighter.

A G37 will beat the V6 Camaro in any objective performance category.

I agree with the "feminine look" of the car statement above. Dated a girl who drove one and it was a nice ride but a little to "import" feeling for me (the car not the girl
)

Is this a serious question? Its much faster than the V6 and almost as fast as the SS. 0-60 in 5 seconds flat, quarter in the low 13s at 105-108 MPH. The G37 coupe is awesome. Its the car I may be dumping my V6 Camaro for.

Good choise!!! But i like the g35 (looks)much better than the G37.
what are you looking for in your everyday driver? if its speed, stock for stock the g37 is the better choise. if i where you i would get the camaro. why? Because its much cheaper in every category also edmunds quotes 5.5 0-60 , 3.9 in 1320 vs 5.9 , 14.2 in maro

As much as I love the Camaro I would be a turn coat in an instant for a G37, it`s the adult version of the Nissan Z, and in my opinion a much better looking version.

It really just depends on what you like.... My wife was looking for a new car and she wanted to test drive a G37 to compare it to the other cars she liked. She test drove one and then borrowed a friends for a few days... Her final statement- Its quick but its just to prissy for me! She ended up getting a G8 GT because she said it was more her style. I guess what Im trying to say is drive them both so you can really get a feel for the car that matches you.

Oh, I forgot to mention an added bonus. The 330HP rating of the G37 coupe is underrated, it has dyno'd at 344WHP but most are around 330-340WHP. Also, the stock block will take close to 900HP and it loves turbos

The G37's are beautiful cars, nooo doubt. I'd love to have one if I could fit in one (too tall).
Oh, and I married myself a fine import-girl from the same country where the G37's are from .
