Car is currently getting the GFX installed. I have the latest instructions in front of me and they are dated 5 Feb 09. Dealerships have been taking shortcuts putting on the front piece. According to the instructions, the front piece is attached to the car and then the entire front clip (with nose piece attached) must be removed to install rivets from the back side of the front clip. They are placed in the center of the piece. I think it is four rivets. I think the dealerships were not taking the front clip off and installing the rivets. I think they thought the 3M tape would suffice...

Just dropped mine off at the dealer today, because the front lip is coming loose. They had no idea when they might get the parts to get it fixed. I hate to drive it home and risk the lip catching on something and tearing up the whole front of the car. With rally yellow, the paint would never match.

Mine just dropped her chin coming back from Vegas today. Its been on for three weeks but never had a problem until I drove it for extended highway speeds in the heat. Don't know where to take it as my dealer disappeared one week after the ground effects were installed. Power Chevrolet is turning into Power Nissan. Maybe I can get a front lip from Japan. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can go for warranty work on this in the Carson-Torrance area of L.A.?

I forgot about this thread... The replacement part came in and it was fixed about two weeks ago. Don't let your dealer tell you it will only take an hour like mine told me... It took five hours...

well i just went for a road trip and after having my second gfx piece installed after the first one fell off my second gfx is now destroyed also, instead of riveting they used urethane on the front instead of double sided tape, the paint across the front lip is now badly damaged. Couldn't get it right the second time.

damn, that just sux! Ok, you are saying the dealer did not use the supplied rivets AND did not use the recommended/supplied 3m tape? So, basically again, like the 1st one, the front piece was only held on by (substitute) tape?

exactly but it was more so a urethane glue, removing the glue thats left on the car however will damage the paint, and the paint has already been damaged on this second time by the destroyed gfx piece

they even went as far as to tell me the instructions that i printed off and brought them in didn't say that u had to place rivets into the front middle section of the lip even though it clearly displays this.

That is just stupid! You gave them the correct instructions to properly mount the thing and still, they elected to disregard it and use only tape to secure the piece! Man, I feel your pain.

Yup, I was told 5 hours & $500 to install - for the first time. I'll be getting mine done on Tuesday. Had them painted black to match the car first

Make sure that they install the front lip with the tape and the rivets!

Also the dealership gave me the 20" polished alum. stock wheels and tires.

I will post some this weekend when I get her all cleaned up. I actually don't have any right now. The interior is Grey - Two toned. It is beautiful. My only grief is the carpet is very light in color and I can see the floor mats getting dirty over time. The darker color in the interior (sides of seats) almost perfectly matches the GFX as is.
I actually cut out some carpet that was left over from my house that was similar in color just to keep the carpets nice in times of rain. I have this exact set up minus the stripes and I too am having a problem with the ground effects. The adhesive is coming off of my front and back. I took it to the dealership who said they would have to order me new ones. They also said that it was going to take about a month due to the fact that everything they have is going to the lines to put on the new makes. Any thoughts that may help?

Why don't they just go to the local auto paint supply and buy some double back foam tape? Just had mine done and my painter said the tape from the factory was a little on the small side, but if the weight is supported by the mounts an not the tape then it should be fine. He cleaned the paint with cleaner he uses not sure of the name, but said it's 100x better then the supplied wipes. So far not issues.

I too am having the same problem. My baby has been at the dealership for over a week.
They fixed it on 10/1 and on 10/2 they called and told me the front had pulled away again. This was a new front spoiler too.
