Cat-back for AGP TT?

My research is telling me 3" Cat-backs are a good compliment for the AGP kit... Anyone have experience they would care to share?

I'm also curious as to if there is anything else I would need, or if there are specific kits I need to be looking at in order for it all to line up right.

As always, thanks for the help!

3 inch straight pipes sounds awesome! Save some money, weight & lose back pressure.

A 3 inch exhaust will definitely compliment the turbos nicely, for me being a vert I really only have one choice but for a coupe there are alot of good cat backs, the biggest thing is really the sound preference you have and also how much your willing to spend

Yeah, I noticed that many of the systems are very specific... Only Auto without vert, only auto vert, only manual SS without vert...

I saw the Borla's advertise "Drone Free" which I would welcome... but the C5 Borla's had tons of drone, so not sure if I buy it.

I would actually argue that the exhaust that's on mine now has a ton of drone (Not that I think it's out of character for a pony car, but it is what it is). Not sure if it's stock or not... maybe I already have an upgrade. I guess in hind sight I should ask my tuner to jack it up and take a look. Maybe I'll do that this week if I can find some free time.

Do you stock folks get a lot of drone?

I'm happy with my selection, Corsa. The car is quieter than it was with the NPP and it truly has ZERO drone.

Yes bigger is better when it comes to turbos.

I like the Magnaflow 3 inch competition system, but we modifiy the front of the system to get rid of the 2 1/2 nich inlet and weld on a piece of stainless 3 inch to mate up with the turbo outlet pipes.

Ted.

That is exactly what Kevin does, and has on his car. Magnaflow, and just cut the first foot off and modify it for full 3". Simple, easy, makes more power. Seen cars gain 30-40rwhp just doing that. Its amazing what a few inches of 2.5" pipe can do for power.

+1 for the 3inch Magnaflow, sounds great and civil at normal operation, and screams when you go WOT. love it!

Sounds good.. No drone certainly sounds good, as the exhaust that's on there now (think it's stock, but I haven't looked too hard) has some heavy drone. That said, it will be pretty uncommon for me to travel all that far in the Camaro, so it only bothers me when there's something good on the radio

Thanks Big-T!
There are alot of good choices out there mostly just sound preference & cost. I just like the sound of turbos more than anything I've heard muffler wise especially for the money. You can also look at the Members for sale section, there are some pretty decent deals on there most of the time.
