Question Taking Edge Off Muffler Delete With Outlaws?

So my current setup is longtube headers hiflow cats and stock 2.5inch LS3 catback with no mufflers (those 2 small bullet resonators are still there).

My new exhaust that I'm wanting to make is custom. It's gonna be 3 inch h-pipe and all piping is 3inch all the way back to outlaw mufflers. The outlaws are also 3inch and they're 11inches long (the biggest outlaw muffler). And quad tips.

Will this be a bit quieter than my current setup? Just a little bit at least not trying to go stealth mode haha. Also what's important is will the new setup have any rasp? Don't want any raspy. And it will be deeper and throatier than the muffler deletes right?

This is pretty much exactly like my new to be setup and it sounds awesome. What's that whooshing hallow sound? Sounds supercharged but it's not.

New setup will be louder.
Your high flow cats will kill the rasp and drone. The quad tips will bring a metallic sound in higher RPMs. (it's subtle.)

How would new setup be louder? Those outlaw mufflers are decently bigger than the resonators.

1. going from a 2.5" to a 3" pipe.
2. the resonators are more restrictive than the Outlaw mufflers. They are flow through mufflers, they aren't baffled. (They are 3" straight through.) They really won't be any quieter than replacing them with a straight piece of pipe. They will simply cut down popping, backfires, and refine the tone vs. a straight pipe.

How do u think it would sound if I also added the small outlaw mufflers behind them? Even deeper sound? There is the regular 11 inch size and 7 inch size.

Can you show me what you're talking about with the 11" muffler vs. 7" muffler?
I only am aware of the catback version and the axle back version? (if they have different mufflers, I couldn't say.)

10-13 catback This is what I have, but for a 14-15.

You can buy the outlaw muffler alone. So how would two 11 inch and two 7 inch outlaws at the same time sound?

I did not know that. I honestly couldn't say. I'm definitely interested in how it turns out though.

When you increase the pipe size of your system, the vehicle will generally gain a bit of volume and your tone will become a little deeper. Flowmaster Outlaw Series race mufflers are designed to reduce higher-pitched tones and rasp, but not much else. They are a very aggressive muffler that will provide a similar level of volume to being straight piped. If you are looking for a significantly deeper tone, I would recommend running a pair of Flowmaster’s chambered street mufflers.

If you would like, pop in some headphones and check out this video for our Outlaw Cat-back system (part #817556) for the 2010-2013 Camaro SS 6.2L. This system features dual Outlaw Series mufflers, 3” mandrel bent tubing and Flowmaster’s Scavenger X-pipe:

If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to call us at 707-544-4761.

What is the deepest sounding flow master muffler I can buy (not system just the mufflers)?

For your LS3-powered Camaro, it's likely going to be the Super 40 Series muffler. However, if you would like an in-depth recommendation based on your exact vehicle specs and personal sound preferences, give us a call at 707-544-4761.
