Who here is willing to eat crow when the reviews pour in and the media doesn't like the "new" face of the Camaro? |

^EVERYONE WANTS IT TO BE LIKE THE CONCEPT!!!!
Remember... Some things happen that will just be COMPLETELY beyond OUR control...and all the complaining in the world won't do a thing. Sure, you can say you don't like this or that. I've done it and others will to. We just all ask that you express your dislike with respect to those who have slaved over it...and to those who LOVE what they see. Not saying that you didn't use them, but we like manners.....and (not you) there's a couple people who don't care about manners here. |

Onward and Upward.

I'm gonna venture a guess that given we're in the last 80 days or so until the production model is at last revealed, there isn't gonna be much changing to be done to the final designs, so arguing back and forth is sort of pointless. 80 days is less than 3 months to finalize vendors, designs, etc., and though I'm not in the manufacturing sector of the world, I know that it would be a herculean feat to change things like a bumper or sheet metal at the last minute. I could be dead wrong here, so if I am and someone who actually designs/builds cars is on this thread and can prove me wrong, please do so.
My point is, bickering back and forth doesn't solve anything. If you don't like the finalized design (when it's revealed), then by all means, please go buy something else. Bitching about something that has already been revealed previously in the post as being a pre-pro or hodgepodge of different models means that you haven't been paying attention to FbodFather. As far as I'm concerned, he and possibly a few other members of this forum have the inside scoop and have said over and over now that we should all WAIT until the production model is unveiled. I SAY AGAIN... we should WAIT until the production model is revealed to cast judgement on their work. To sum up... The production model is less than 3 months from being fully revealed so bitching about a bumper or a grill at this point is probably an exercise in depleting oxygen around you as you huff and puff. You're entitled to your opinion, but should probably reserve your judgement until you've seen the production model. By the way, I'll take mine in Black. I'm hoping for the Z28 or whatever the high-end model is called, but if that isn't a possibility, I'll be happier than a pig in s#@t to have an SS with a V8, Manual Trans and whatever goodies I can add on. This thing isn't just a home run to me... It's an OUT OF THE PARK GRAND SLAM!!!!!

In my opinion, the car looks amazing. Excellent job by the design team at GM.
I will buy this vehicle, but I must say that the lower grill doesn't match with the car. I love the front end (with buldges and all) but the lower grill seems like that particular design was not meant for the Camaro. Let me clear up a bit. Take a look at the new 2008 CTS and it's lower grill. http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/model/gallery.jsp Now, that looks like it was part of the design. I believe this is what GM will do with the FINAL production version of the front grill. To make the design EVEN better is to make the angles of the top grill match with the "new" lower grill. Just my thoughts... I figured a lot of people were getting a little hostile over something that can easily change in 3 months. Like Scott said "keep the faith" |

Some of the people complaining about the production car being to unlike the concept remind me of geeks who accuse comic book movie directors of "raping their childhood."

god forbid anybody has anything in terms of constructive criticism to give... its this simple...i can't find one thing not one thing to complain about the concept and concept convertible its as perfect a car as my eyes can see... however i can't lie or disguise any concerns I have about what i see in the mules...that wouldn't be intellectual honesty...would it now |

Thank you! Glad to be here. This site has been great so far. There isn't a better place to get information on the Camaro. I've been patroling here for a while now and I thought it was time to put my 2 cents in. |

thats the problem with reading something somebody said instead of hearing it...you can't tell what tone they said it in...there was nothing hostile or mad in what i said...think of it as being said with a chuckle and a jersey accent |
