Anyone else having this issue with the LSA HeartBeat upgrade ? The question is why this happens as long as nothing was altered in the IAT tables it should read correctly right ?

It's nothing to do with the upgrade you have done, sounds like one of the following:
sensor has failed
harness connecting to sensor is not making good/constant contact
somewhere on the harness there is something not right

Your issue sounds 100% electrical/sensor.

Try and get a buddy to come over with a ZL1 and check that his works fine n his car first and then remove it and plug it into your one.

I thought the same but I think it is something that need to be altered in the tune as Ted said cause I changed the sensor to a new one & when disconnection the harness check engine light comes on ( low voltage) I can't remember, so I will try to see with the tuner & hope it works .

If the sensor worked fine before with your tune file then it's not the tune file.

At a minimum you should be able to remove the sensor and free air test it and pick up the ambient temperature correctly.

It started reading high tops after the Heartbeat upgrade & I did remove the sensor in fresh air still reads high , ambient was 23C & Spenser reads 50C .

Yes I know I read that before, this indicates the sensor or somewhere in the electrical harness has been damaged.

Try this, get a friend with a ZL1 to come over, check his sensor on his car.
Then remove the sensor and check it in the free air still on his car.

Then install it free air check it on your car, if it fails download his tune file and install it on your car, if it still fails then it is likely your harness somewhere.

Didn't get a chance to do anything, but I did try to read temp with a laser temperature gun & it read the same IAT2 sensor reading !!

Damn, it's hot in Dubai!!!!

I agree with some of the other posts, sensor plugged in vs. unplugged should give you different readings. If you get same reading with it plugged in vs. unplugged, you either A) have a bad sensor or B) break in wire somewhere.

Found this on YouTube. Not sure if this is the same type of sensor used in our cars or not. If it is, here you go.

Are you checking the sensor when the engine and sensor are cold, eg first thing in the morning?

Ok , the tuner got the GM IAT sensor scaling which was way off !!
now it reads correctly , tested after overnight stop & the three ECT,IAT1,IAT2 were the same exactly .
Had to use the hx cause i was running the SuperChiller only & now the ac compressure just went bad , left the car idling with outside teps 20C & hx connected temps were stable & will try to drive it & see how it does .
Thanks for everybody .
