Do you have to pay to get in? How do they keep the spectators separate from the real bidders?

Yes,
You can pre order tickets online, Or pay a bit more on the day of the show at the gate. The bidders section is on the floor center, There's public bleachers on the sides |

Been a few times & it's always a blast. A good friend of mine does custom Corvettes he auctions off. He was at this one with this '62, haven't heard from him how much it brought yet.

I was there, too, on the 29th and 30th. The 001 went for a cool $500K. As I recall, the money went to charity. Overall, the number, variety, and quality of the cars on the docket was amazing.

I'm going to take a VERY WILD guess but I'm thinking Rick Hendricks bought the car.

That is pretty much a picture of what I'd like to do if I found one that was a good candidate for a resto-mod (non serial matching car). Hope it brought a nice return for your friend. |

I was there as well had a great time, could not believe the number of cars on site. I saw a number of cars that I have seen on Velocity Channel. Spoke with the GM reps and discussed upgrades I had mad to my car, they said I was on the right path. Can't wait to go next year.

Failed to mention I had a 2015 Mustang Asa rental, WOW what a great car, Ford has done some great things with that car, loved the DIC. I would be proud to own a Mustang along with the Camaro.
