I think you got it all twisted bro. East Los is more of a lowrider seen. If you want fluorescent color wheels then San Diego and most of the valley is where you'll find your cup of tea.

The ones I did are winter storage rims (my GY F1s and brutal winters in unheated garage don't mix) so dont care about the insides. But if you're doing your real rims, yes, take them off, degrease, wash well, then pastidip.

I'm not a fan of "body colored wheels" but if you want to try it and see, plastidip is the way to go. Don't like it? Peel it off. No harm done.

Well you were exactly right. Which is weird because I was told to dry, spray, dry, spray , dry then peel. Didn't get the clean lines I wanted.stretched too much.

Would it be easier to do the whole wheel, then do the accent color over the black? I've never tried it - the only thing I've dipped has been my bowties. I powder-coated my wheels.

you must of drove south on interstate 5 instead on north lol. Only colored wheels I see are 3pc wheels or lightweight ricer wheels.
Going back to the subject... I personally wouldn't try to custom paint stocks unless it's all plastidip black

How did you get the lines so clean? When pulling off the tape it pulls at some of the edges. I mean it still looked good but just enough up close to drive me crazy. I actually peeled that tire today. Going to respray all black then order the light blue. Might just leave it all black.
