Recieved the overkill throttle body and the JacFab ported intake manifold last Thursday. My shop did a base run (just exhaust) and then installed them both in 45 minutes.

And... Let's get this setup dialed in and put on our lfx engines. The spacer, ported intake, 80mm with the autocal tuner. The only piece missing for me is a professional looking cai connection and dyno numbers and I'm sold. Sounds like the way to go vs. my Vtc(which works great for me).

I don't have a shop. I do all my own work unless it's alignments or such. Then I know it's done the right way.

I am an engineer, however, I have no knowledge of my cars software and programming so I will let the professionals handle that. Furthermore, JE imports Performance has a professional drift team in Formula D and have custom cars and built drag cars featured in 'Super Street' and many other auto magazines.

That's awesome. I'm very interested how the intake package workout. The extra boost is something that I might do but I'm interested how that works out for you as well. Give this little lfx hell to see what she'll put out. |

If I was confident in my ability then I would do all the work and modifications myself (RPI door and dash inserts, RPI taillight bezels, taking out the rear seat, etc) however, this is beyond me lol. I will keep you posted, and continue to update my build thread and what I learn. I was informed today that they installed the ZL1 fuel pump now.

Waiting on official numbers from this before buying a VMAX. The VMAX still looks appealing for the price because you can turn in your core and only pay $150.
But that 80mm vs 72mm difference cannot be ignored. |

I am curious djcolopi. Find out if any reprogramming needed to be done when installing the ZL1 fuel pump. I installed mine last year and it was plug and play. Didn't have to do any programming whatsoever. No other mods to make it work. There are several others on the forum who say that re-programming is necessary when installing these pumps in the V-6 but I have installed (3) with no issues. Don't understand why some do and most don't. I would really appreciate the feedback.

I hear that the main issue with fuel delivery is in the HPFP not putting fuel into motor and the stock pump supplies enough, so sounds like if ZL1 pump will only send more to be sent back to the tank... please explain to me if this is not accurate and why. I am also under the impression that improper tuning to bring fuel pressure up instead of using proper tables can cause fuel delivery problems....
