So glad I didn't get into a 6th gen 2SS now. That new 1LE is bad ass. Can't wait to see some track numbers. I'll likely trade up.

I might think about upgrading to a Gen6 if I can actually get that green color

Its a beauty for sure. I have talked to a couple GM engineers on the LT platform, things they commented on, makes me love LS3 that much more. Now the HP race between brands seems to be in full hype. Are we pushing the LT's to their max from the factory? Their engineers think so.

Very nice. I like the addition of oil, trans and diff coolers. Something that I wish the 5th gens had as well.
And that green is loud

Maybe GM is pushing the LT to the max they can but I'm skeptical that the aftermarket can't get more out of it. Did GM push the LS3 to its max from the factory? There are already head and cam kits for the LT1.

Its exciting for sure. I won't necessarily say that it would overtake the '14 1LE in image, but it is sleek. I want to see the new Recaro seats. It will take some doing to outdo the 5th gen's Recaro, so I'd like to see what they came up with.

The new 1LE will in EVERY way, be vastly superior to the old 1LE.

Looks and backseat withstanding, yes.

and I kind of agree with the below poster as vastly seems a bit much, no?

I have no doubt it will be quicker than the old 1LE. But to say it's "vastly superior" would be an invalid statement. The outgoing 1LE is extremely capable, especially with simple bolt ons. And there is one big way the old 1LE is better for sure. Think about that for a bit before I answer what it is. :-)

This will give me a year or two (or more) to save up and pay cash - that is if it's something that that I am drawn to. One thing to think about is that the '17 will have a 50th Anniversary model. This will be interesting to watch, while enjoying, tweaking, and putting miles on the '15. Who's making the popcorn?
Since you asked!
