If you know nothing about music you can kind of tell if it is acceptable but you really don't know how good someone is until you play for a while yourself. Really, I don't think there is a good way to know if someone is a good tuner except to let someone else that is a good tuner look at their work. Problem is you don't know how good the tuner that is evaluating is.... One thing that I know is a lot of people have sent cars to ADM for a lot of years, with no problems. There is A LOT of variation to the way people can tune these cars. It depends on the goals and philosophy of the tuner. If you maximize the efficiency of the tune, you will get the most power and the best fuel economy without throwing out all of the safety parameters built into the tune. It takes a lot of testing to really fine tune it (good pun).

Andy is busy, it may be hard to get your car in to him, but I promise if he does your car you won't regret it.

I just think instead of having a guy able to call for help to get it perfect why not take it to one of the guys that is getting called by good tuners asking for help?
Very valid point I love the metaphor. The reason I want to get my car tuned locally First. Is when I do take it to Adm I can ask what is own personal opinion on the tune is. So if I have the go from Andy. That he thinks he knows what he is doing I can start piecing together a car locally and saving money. And not a shop that is 5 hours away. If that makes sense.

And he just called and he made 30 horses to the wheels with just the long tunes so pretty good for a m6 if I say so. What do you guys think? Stainless works 1 7/8 with cat deletes

30 sounds good. Dyno results can easily be fudged a little by people that want to. Not saying your guy is doing this, most don't, but some do. The farther your car gets away from stock power levels, the harder it is to tune it. Just headers should be pretty easy when you start changing injectors that is when the big problems could show up. Sounds like you have a good plan.

I just want to keep my zl1 a zl1 I feel to many people change these zl1's to twin turbo zl1's and that defeats the purpose of it being a zl1. That's just another modded SS to me no offense to the turbos zl1's way more lreocexient kn power! So going to max out my blower and stock rear end and maybe a cam and ported heads. 100 shot of nitrous up next. Will keep the numbers posted and post pics. Going to do a build around the nitrous.

I'm confused. In your first post you said you already had LTs, Cai, cat delete and a 150 shot. Now you say you are getting 100 shot next. No wonder people can't figure you out.

I have cai before getting tuned put down 500 horses. Installed long tubes, made 530 horses. The nitrous is on. Guy is waiting for a fuel pressure gauge for my dedicated fuel cell to test it at a 100 shot first, than keep it at a 150 shot.

This is all happening as we speak. So he is running and playing with it now. Unfortunately I'm not there because I have to work.

Didn't you say you were here just to read? Lol!! I could not agree more with you. OP just get your damn car tuned by this guy and then come back and tell us all what the numbers are HP wise and all of your mods. Then take it to the track and tell us what kind of numbers it laid down. {if it blows up please tell us that to if you have the balls}

I'm not sure why everyone thinks I am a troll?!?! I am going to keep Posting on this forum. If you think I'm a troll STOP READING MY POSTS! Its that simple. I express my thinking before THINKING all the way through. I am a very spontaneous quick to change my mind A LOT. But that is who I am. So if you don't like it. Step aside and get off my threads.

I will say you sure stirred up this board. It has been along time since we have had a discussion about something other than a catch can! That being said I feel like everyone knows you are not a troll but what everyone has said to you mostly has been trying to help you from damaging your motor. That is what this community here does is try to help guys like you. I have been on this board awhile and I have been educated so much by all of these guys giving me information just like they did for you. What you decide to do with the info is up to you. Trust me no one here will tell you anything that will hurt your car because they all have been there and done that. I sure hope now this thread will die because it has ran about as far as it can go,unless you add to it again.

Dammit guys leave this kid alone read these past threads from "spending 20K on his motor, to "dealer will take my ZL1 and give me a 15 ZL1 free." To my personal favorite " I defy logic by driving miles with no subframe bolts."

Wow, that clears things up a bit.
