I like that car but dont want to find myself realizing it was a mistake.

Maybe they realized they rather have a vette or zl1?

Let me know bros!
For the reduced price it's a hell of a deal.

Just be sure to do your homework. I looked at a 2014 Red Z/28 w/ 4.5k miles on it. They were asking $57K (i negotiated down to $53K). Called my buddy at a dealership and had him run the VIN. It wasn't titled until it had 4k miles on it (most likely a dealer car) and had been sold at auction 3 times. The 2nd time it was sold it was classified as "below average". He told me that likely meant body damage. I couldn't see any trace of that when I looked at the car. I wound up passing on the car. I wasn't comfortable not knowing what had happened or the idea of some dealer driving it w/ out a care in the world knowing it would not be his for long.

There are used Zs for below 50k now with that kind of mileage.

No. However, there will be bumps that went unnoticed in other cars that now will become routine to slow down for. That's after you eat it the first time.

True story.

In all honesty, I wouldn't want to drive on rough surface for a long time (short stretches here and there are no problem) as that would not be pleasant and would add excessive wear and tear on the suspension. Also, like Urban Legend said, you have to be cautious when going over large bumps. If not, it will unsettle you (car handles it pretty well) and that could a problem if you are trying to get on the brakes, shift, etc. I don't push too hard on unfamiliar roads.

Also, there is a stretch of highway that I drive once in a while that is very wavy. I've driven in my ZL1 and Boss 302 (both much stiffer than your average car) and didn't notice the waviness at all. In the Z/28 I feel every bit of it. It's not jarring like driving over rough surfaces, but it would be unsettling to folks who are used to smooth rides.

Also, the Trofeo's have very stiff sidewalls. I will be switching to something else once they wear out. Am guessing that will reduce the roughness.

It all adds up to a very interesting, fun and engaging experience!

My first post, so hello everyone! I've been lightly following these cars since their debut and am considering getting one. Lots of great threads on here concerning new and used prices so no questions from me there. However, I did find a car with ~800 miles and it had the spark plug wires replaced.. Any reason for concern there? Seems odd to just replace those. I'm worried the car has deeper problems and the previous owner just wanted a quick out. Anywho, looking forward to peeking around here and learning a bunch. Thanks!

I've only looked at the car online, but nothing looks alarming. It's been at the dealer for almost 6 months. Any ideas?

Edit*- wires were replaced a year ago

Could very well be. It looks like the car was only owned briefly before it ended up back at the same dealer it was sold from. I'll have to investigate further.

That VIN is regular production.

I looked at the pictures on the dealer site. Where are you able to see plug wires?

I would shop a bit more. There are better prices out there and if you want black there's no shortage.

Check two things:
- Carfax
- Dealer should be able to pull all records from there global service network.

If nothing comes ups up then the plug wires should be of no concern.
