When people say high cost of living what is a number figure to that? WA was consider to be costly also but it felt fine because I was used to it.

What about registering my car and smog checks? What would be the ball park figure of how much that will coat? I have LT no mufflers or cats. Do I need to replace this system with stock?

Some places that people refer me to is Roseville, Rocklin, Yuba City, Woodland, Citrus Heights and Fairfield. Any positive or negative about these places?

I will have more random questions later so thanks for your time.
didnt really read the entire three page thread lol. but northern cali is still cold i believe. Not as cold as MT or harsh. For your exhaust, find a camaro car club around you and ask for their "smog guy" theres always someone whos willing to pass your car for some extra cash. As for your exhaust sound in cali, live by these rules: Dont drive earlier than 8am dont drive later than 9pm and you'll never have a problem.

Also, Nor Cal is lame. Come to socal, theres clubs everywhere down here. Plus we got the socal beaches. I mean, who doesnt want to drive their sports car off the coast of california??

East Sacramento is where it's at, bro. Check out the "fabulous forties". President Ronald Reagan lived here on 45th street when I was a kid.

They said you'll get more then what the dealership will give you but in the end it's a lot easier to avoid any problems with a private buyer and trade up. I'm not sure at this point. I think I'm going to find out what a 1SS 2016 would cost me a month for a lease and if it's too much I'll just go for a used 2014/15 SS hopefully 1LE.
What's your budget? PM me, otherwise, I may never see the answer....I'm 60.

DOOOOD!!!!!

Miami is crazzzzzyyyyy!!!! at one point the 4 lane freeway had 5 or 6 cars driving abreast of each other!!!!

It gave me a deep appreciation for The 405 and The 10 and The 101, and those roads are the most congested in Los Angeles. After south Florida, I embrace the rather stupid but small infractions from California peeps.

Also the high cost doesn't help me one bit since I have to live with family to survive.

The only way to really afford to live on your own out here is to share rooms with somebody else or to have a high paying job in the tech field which has truly screwed over the minimum wage worker and the general cost of living.
You need to get out of the bay, that place is a freaking zoo. Crappy drivers, congestion, huge income divides. I work there all the time, but would never live there. There is much more to the state than one of the most expensive, congested, clusters in the state. There is good money to be had working there, I make it, then bail.

+1 On Miami, it's a different world when it comes to driving. It literally feels like Mad Max: Fury Road on the freeways there!
