Got the ZL1 fuel pump, now I'm ready to spray a 200 shot of nitrous on top of the 15 PSI of boost. Might be able to bend the fabric of time and space with that much power.

Next week after the fuel pump install I can start adding timing back since the extra fuel will help cool the chamber down. Right now with 9 degrees pulled it is running slower than the 3.33" pulley, but still faster than the 3.48" one. The fastest 3.33" pulley run from 65-95 MPH was 3.468 seconds with 26 degrees of timing. With the 3.12" pulley and 22.5 degrees of timing it did the same run in 3.328 seconds. That was with only 1 PSI of extra boost over the 3.33" pulley (13 PSI at 6900). With the new charge pipes I'm running 14.1 PSI at 6900, but since I'm running 18 degrees of timing and stoich AFR, the time it takes is 4.2 seconds.

I think the sweet spot for AFR is 0.90 lambda on our engines, but 0.88 would probably be the safest. I run water/meth injection though so I can run a little leaner since water extracts 6 times the heat that gasoline does (Meth does twice).

Wow! I am overwhelmingly impressed! Can't believe these little engines can survive what you are doing!! Love to see someone pushing the envelope and hope you work it all out. Love to see the numbers when you do. Great job!! Could you tell me what internal mods, if any, you have done to your LLT engine?

Stock internals, no oil cooler.

That is awesome! I have a 2010 TT Limited Edition, also. I'm at 10 PSI, 4200 stall converter and 4.88 gears. I have a sequential turbo control system which allows me to make boost like a roots blower right off the line. Zero turbo lag. Water/Meth, ZL1 fuel pump along with other support systems. It's a high 11 car but you have went way beyond my build and I commend you on it. You have a great advantage by having the knowledge of being able to tune yourself. You are one of the very few who can tune the Bosch ECU. From the looks of things, you should be doing this for a living.(of course, maybe you do) I am really impressed with your knowledge and your Camaro and I am following this thread with great interest. These DI engines really do perform, amazing performance. Keep up the good work.

HUGE Thank you to JantzenOKC for getting the ZL1 fuel pump installed as well as getting my wheels aligned. I helped a little bit, but he got the tank removal down. The pump worked with no tuning required.

How long did it take to swap the pump?

Only a few hours, then he drove the car to see how a high stall torque converter felt, then the alignment. He hadn't driven a Camaro since September but still remembered where the blind spots are.

Managed to hit 15.5 PSI of boost today, engine held together. Problem right now though is I upped the fuel jet from 0.031" to 0.078" and no change in AFR (or fuel pressure). Completely disconnected the controller for the fuel solenoid and still no change. The jets smell like fuel, I know the solenoid works, but it seems like it isn't mixing. The fuel solenoid is a 0.187 orifice. Will have to figure out why it isn't activating in boost.

Going to go ahead and call it, I'm going to hit 10's this year. On my 12.5 run I ran 65-95 in 4.453, the 11.8 run did it in 3.891, now I'm at 3.312. I'm still 6 degrees from MBT, still plenty of power left.

Wednesday I get yet another upgrade, the Snow Performance 700 HP meth pump. For the fuel nozzle, I don't think it is spraying out fully, so it is doing nothing but pooling in the manifold. Going to have to reconfigure it with the nozzle spraying with the air stream, not against it.

Will@Overkill sent me a new throttle body harness and it is a lot better. It is made for the LLT, so it doesn't have to use the second adapter that bolts to the stock throttle body. The throttle body is a little sensitive in one area, but that has to deal with the DAL tables, which is kind of driver specific. On a NA car it will probably be just perfect, but on my stalled and boosted car it is very touchy.

Also got the new meth pump, comes with 3/8" hose push-locks instead of the 1/4" ones. I was hoping it came with 3/8th NPT instead, but I didn't read the fine print. Reason I'm doing this is because after I installed the new meth tank is when my AFR's started running a lot leaner. The supply line is supposed to be 1/2", but where the fluid gets to the fitting is only 1/4", probably why it was starving itself. I drilled it out to a 1/2" hole and it might be better now. This AIS tank also has 2 outputs that are 3/8 NPT, so I might take my old pump and use it as a secondary pump, use it to supply meth to the supercharger since it is heating up fast.

Was an adventurous day, car battery died yesterday so I left it on the battery tender overnight and it started this morning for work. Drove it to work and an hour later went out to the car, voltage was at 11 and it barely started. Battery was less than 3 weeks old but already couldn't hold a charge. AutoZone replaced it though so should be good.

I got the car over 110 MPH easily today with no vibration, the transmission fluid level is perfect so the car is mechanically ready for the track. Tune wise though I'm running a little lean in 2nd and 3rd gear, but in 4th I'm overly rich. The same RPM, same boost PSI, same fuel pressure, same fuel injector pulse width, but 0.93 - 0.95 (Bank 2 runs leaner) in 3rd gear, 0.86 (Both banks runt he same) in 4th gear. I think it is the meth needs more time to mix with the air, but the same RPM should be the same amount of time between pulses.

At the end of one run my fuel rail pressure dropped low and the reduced engine power message showed up. I had to floor it again though and with the throttle all the way down, RPM's at 5300, the throttle would not go past 27%. My manifold air pressure was at 0, which is weird the ECU would go to the exact position where there was no pressure at all.

Thunder Valley is also trashed right now, drag radial cars are spinning and getting zero traction right now. Going to take a major outlaw event to get the track caked with rubber again.

Curious how your trans tstat is working out? Are you finding its opening around 160ish? What are your temps going up to. Mine is the 180 Tstat and i find my temps when i monitor it in HP Tuners are running around 178-183 range. That is with outside temps between 75-85. Not sure whats going to happen in the summer heat. I may bump up the fans even more and or switch to the same 160 stat you have.

I do however run mine different then you, mine goes thru the radiator til the fluid gets hot, then when the stat opens it flows to the cooler and returns into the radiator and back to the trans.

Normal driving keeps the temps around 170-175. Yesterday it got up to 190 after several hard pulls, but mine is stalling higher than it should so it makes more heat.

what was your outside temps yesterday when you tested the car?

You are only running it thru the cooler, right?
