Please Selfie Your Glove Box

Hoping someone can take a picture of where/how that damper cord attaches to the box (on the right side). Dealer "tech" detached it when replacing the blower motor and I can't see how it goes back on and it may be broken where it mounts?

I recommend 30 weight ball bearings and gauze pads.

I broke that plastic tab too -trying to look for that damn Onstar (bigbrother) box. Anyway I just used an old Cotter pin -bent it to flatten and then clipped it to fit that slot -works like a charm.

A little OT -- but I was surprised when I got my car that there was no light in the glove box. Didn't notice it until I got the car home. I also didn't like the lack of overhead lighting (I have a sunroof). Maybe that improved for the Gen 6.

I know there are things you can do for lighting, but it just seemed kind of, well......cheap to leave out stuff like that.

Thanks so much. I noticed my glove box was dropping hard and figured a damper cable was the problem. After I saw the pics, I saw the cable on the right side of the box. It was disconnected?! All did was pull on it and pop the connection back into the holder. I had the car in for a new BCM and radio (a long story) but they wouldn’t have had to remove the glove box?! Hope it stays in there.
