MBRP had a set of Round tips for cars like mine and they have a GFX system as well. They have square tips that work perfect for it.

Ok guys, after a few days of driving with this new exhaust, I have to say I'm no longer fully happy with it. But it's conditionally, and what I mean is...when the L99 AFM is in 8 cylinder mode, the car is a beast and just sounds lovely. But when it's in 4 cylinder mode, I can't stand the sound... It buzzes hard and you can hear it kick in and out of 4 and 8 cyl. My wife has even stated she didn't notice it(because the radio is on and not pay attention to it) until we took a drive tonight. She is on the fence about keeping this exhaust and I'm almost ready to reinstall the stock system. Without resonators, this type of exhaust upgrade is not a good idea for L99 A6 cars, unless you can stand the buzzing/drone sounds of the AFM.

However, I want everyone to understand this is a great system, if it was an LS3. I understand MBRP is doing research for the L99 this week. So by far, I'm not talking bad about their work. The craftsmanship is amazing and I recommend it to anyone...with an LS3.

And for those saying, "just get a tune and turn it off", well that is when a warranty because an issue with me and being able to keep it. My recommendation for the L99 cars would be to just get an Axle back system until the aftermarket can supply us with something more suitable. Like a 3 inch version of the stock system.

Are you returning the system or are you going to sell it. If you're going to sell it, send me a PM with what you want for it.

Just to give an update on the L99 crowd.

I've not heard any thing back from MBRP yet on a L99 solution to the AFM sounds. I hope for something soon as it's getting annoying. Only reason why it's still is because the V8 mode sounds are just to sweet to give up :P

Any news yet Jeff?

Josh181, we haven't forgot about the L99, we are still waiting on a car for testing. The customer with the auto we orginaly had scedueled in for R&D was on holidays and wasn't around to organise getting the car to us. I'm going to see if I can contact him in the next day or two to get this car in.

Very interested to hear the outcome... IMO, MBRP is tops in the LS3 world... now to nail down the L99 with an X-pipe resonator section that can handle the AFM groan...

Keep up the good work...

I think GM did the best they could to handle the AFM. I can hear it kick in and out on the stock exhaust. I heard Corsa Cat Back yesterday with LMR CAI and it sounded good. The AFM is more noticeable still and I am on the fence for exhaust. I hate the trash cans under the car but don't know if I want to put up with the 4 cyl mode annoyance. I may just wait for exhaust as this is still a new car and someone will find a solution. If I don't wait for exhaust bye bye warranty as the AFM will get tuned out.
Good Luck with your decision.
