It just seems like there are so many awful drivers nowadays. As a matter of fact, the first thing the guy in the challenger said when he got out of the car was "you know how many times I've wrecked this car bro? Five times." Then, because he didn't have his insurance card (or his license), he proceeded to hand me a letter from his insurance company talking about an accident he just had in October...
Uh oh! I wonder if he still has insurance? How do you contact the other driver since he had no license on him? And shouldn't you file the claim with the other driver's insurance company? I assume you both stayed at the accident scene until the police arrived?

I'm not sure what the laws are in Virginia, but in California, you only have to call the police if there's over a certain amount of damage, which neither of our cars had. One of the papers he gave me to take a picture of had his name and stuff. But my insurance in waving my deductible because they found that I'm not at fault, and they're giving me money for a rental car (which I won't need (more money for car parts! )). So at this point everything's fine

My Camaro was 6 weeks old when I took her to get washed(...I know mistake #1)...they were vacuuming it and had the driver's door open. One of the employees in lane beside it..."didn't see the door open" and drove a Dodge Hemi truck into it...to tune of $4000 to fix it....of COURSE they paid for it.I immediately started crying...some older guy waiting for his vehicle to be done...saw me crying and says"it's only a car."...I gave him the DEATH stare and my inside voices said...outloud..."well then why couldn't it have been YOUR car".
Called the boyfriend....crying....he picked me up....at a red light the teenager behind us NEVER hit her brakes and rear ended our Mustang.....how's THAT for an awful day!

+1 on the police report. If you didn't get one filed out, or get his information for that matter at the very least, you buried yourself

That's a huge bummer. Nearly getting hit is just about a daily occurrence for me anymore. Sorry to hear about your baby, and the huge inconvenience. Post pics when you get a sec.

Update: their insurance told me they found me at fault. Which means he changed his story... This really makes me mad because looking back at it, I should have called the police at the scene and he would've been screwed for not having a license, registration, etc. Really makes me pissed.. Doesn't matter though cause my insurance says he's at fault so there won't be any negative impacts towards me

Wow, should definitely have got the police involved.

Something very similar happened to me just over a week ago

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=440508

I had contacted the police immediately and had him write a statement, although he tried to change his story that I was at fault, even his insurance claim's adjusters said "Sorry man, this is an easy one, he's at fault."

It's basically gonna be up to the pictures of the damages and where the accident happened at to determine who both insurances agree upon who was at fault.

Because his car is an SRT8 which from the factory has one more horsepower than the SS. It was also modded. And he was going pretty fast before he stopped next to me. I also saw him looking at my car. Like I said before, it was just an assumption and I could be wrong

Thinking the same, if it is not your fault call the police no matter how much damage their is. I would call them now and explain the situation try to get a report, hope this does not come back to raise your insurance premiums.
